I'm definitely not a professional photographer but I think the objects and composition is at least above average in these photos.

Does anyone know why/when the scanlines appear and if you can remove them? They're really annoying.

I thought it was just night-time photos but the one I took above didn't have them.

That effect was on the original version of the game, but was removed in later patches.

Ah that's good, didn't think I'd seen them in a while.

GrandMaster Smith

Not so artsy but just what I had already on my album. This threads convinced me to go and try and take some cool pictures now though

It's great to see that my lil' thread has gotten people a bit deeper into the photographic side of the game! Great shots people, keep doing your thing.

And remember, you have to "kill your darlings" – ie. you have to trim the selection A LOT. Be critical, and let images marinate a while before posting.

Where was this one taken? Looks like it's next to the IAA building.

Signatures are dumb anyway.

A quick tip about framing the pictures: for some reason the "viewfinder", ie. the screen where you compose your shot doesn't cover 100% of the "frame". You have to zoom in just a bit after you've cropped all the unnecessary objects out so that they don't appear in the far corners of the final image.

Damn, I'm feeling the urge to dive into Los Santos right now..but gotta work for a couple of hours still.

Not sure how relevant this tip is. People seem to be doing just fine already, there's some great stuff in here and composition has been great throughout.

Some awesome pics in here. Wow.

This is the stuff that the R* newswire needs to publicise.

I meant that tip more to the people who get inspired by this thread and go "out there" to do their own type of digital photography in V.

And yes, for the most part the composition and framing has been good but that doesn't mean that tip is not relevant – you can always improve your skills!

I can't believe there are people saying this game has "bad graphics".

WTF.

Of course it has bad graphics, it's not 100% perfect at all times!!
