Those little details are many of them made little progress today, decals marker lights and more texturing.

yay in game shot, possible glitch, the bullet holes and scratches are not showing up! LOD are not in yet, and materials are preliminary.

 

Alpha release is here, no LOD, dummies are not lined up, lights not working, dirtmap and dent maps not working...

I think I read somewhere the bullet hole and scratch textures show up on the surface of one of the LOD models, so if it hasn't got them yet, that could explain why they're not showing up.

I can imagine that the red sign on the left side is some kind of "pass on this side" sign, but what does the LED sign on the right side indicate? The route number?

@bob marley i see, i am getting the lod1 finished soon..

 

@bondergoe i been thinking of making a non airconditioned model. Ill see if making as extra is feasable. Some buses such as Santa monicas big blue used a non airconditioned models, but they fitted with rooftop ac unit.

 

@universetwister the red sign on the left rear window is probably yield. In some municipality passed as law to yield on buses. When buses pulled out from the bus stop with indicator flashing, vehicles must stop and let the bus in.

I know the bus that rides through my town doesn't have those. Nor does it have a route number on the back. But then again, those are probably just for really big cities like NYC, etc.

Not at all, they come standard over here (well, we only have Nova Bus LFS and some Classic)

It varies with municipalities. In my city they have a standard yield sign, because of too many accident while pulling out of the bus stop. Some models have third brake light .. These buses have so many configuration it will drive me nuts. Seat layouts to switches.

I found a interesting photo of a GMC Classic from my city. This one doesn't have any rear window, but it have a Yield sign and a route number thing.

@bondergomme the one with no rear window have factory air conditioned models. Some of the non air conditioned models had been fitted with roof-mounted air conditioner, so they still have a rear window. Its a challenge trying to distinguish between a GM, a MCI or NovaBus classics.

This is the best bus for GTA 4 that I've seen.

I didnt find any problem...

I can not crash the second glass on the left (screenshot) and all the glass on the right. I do not know, maybe this problem can not be solved (because some of the other buses I watched like).

... but there might needs some minor adjustments.

Bolts for numbers... This black. And for the numbers you can make a light bump texture.

@kuznetsoft Thanks for the info. Ill re check the collision models if they are laid down properly. the middle fron windows left behind after crashing bedause the are assign separately. The windows are laid the same as the default gta4 bus, not sure if passenger can open the rear be Use i mideled a pop out rather than a sliding window. The screws on plate i forgot. I also notice gaps once the door glass had been broken.

 

The rear window as extra is impossible unless because of grilled rear window on ac models, i may do a separate version.

I tested the bus a few times and windows and they all break from crashing or bullets. The way windows was laid out on dummies is near identical to vanilla gta4 bus. The right windows will not break on frontal crashes because the doors bore brunt of the impact.

 

@compeast if the windows does not break, your vehglass shader material exceeded the polygon limit (unfortunately i dont know how much), try assigning the inner glass and outer glass with 2 vehglass shader then another vehglass shader on LOD1 windows.

The license plate is wrong. It's a passenger car class. It should be a official class.
