Anyone's character deleted?

uhh my character just got erased. I was rank 111, accidentally bad sport. my social club account been saying i got the wrong username/password combination for a days, but i never changed it.

 

i emailed them. then i went to their community page, and it turns out, i'm not the only one. is everyone on the gta forums playing just fine or what?

 

who's experienced this? discuss.

I haven't got deleted, yet. There are a few people around the forums who have been deleted though. R* need to get a permanent fix for this BS.

I wasn't deleted but rank went from a 58 to a #1 today. Can't get into my house via garage or front door, only by leaving and respawning in property.

Thankfully my character remains. I would have quit playing this game if it got deleted because my progress is too far along to warrant a re-do.

[EDIT] Just noticed that all the stats for trevor/michael/franklin are at zero as well... rockstar screwed something up today.

Fully legit level 77 player on PS3. Character is still around & social club is showing correct stats.

 

I doubt i would be starting over if my progress vanished. Lost 4 characters over level 15 in the first week.

Check to be sure you're showing the right console type - mine sometimes switches when the RSC is having its 'little problems'.

 

OT given the state of the cloud in the past 48 hours its entirely possible your character is still there...as others have said DO NOT overwrite that character slot!

same here, after he cloud issues, my character is fine, cash and all, yet on the social club i have NO stats whatsoever for my online character, although my sp characters are all fine, i hope R* don f*ck this up really, if i lose another character, now 95 after losing 3 already, highest being 20, then i quit this sh*t...

Mine is fine, although i know not to attempt and create a new character in case it doesn't show up, that would probably end up overwriting it when the cloud is stable again, if it's missing, just wait a day or two or however long it takes.

My stats remain the same according to social club. I'm at lvl 104 and if my character gets deleted then I'll be selling my copy of GTA
