Completely ignore that this is the first real cloud outage since the opening days, why don't you.

 

There have been cloud issues every weekend since release.Weekdays have generally been pretty stable outside the first week though.

 

I haven't experienced any issues with the cloud since the first few days, until now of course.

 

Not a big deal. Probably something to do with people receiving free money.

There have been minor cloud issues, yeah. That's why I said "first real cloud outage" and not "First issue of any kind related to the cloud."

 

"Real cloud outage" is a no-true-scotsman argument. You can say, "no wait that doesn't count" about any example that is brought up, and I'm not yet sure what sets this outage apart from other outages. Right now it's been down for what, an hour? Other outages have been longer than that, but apparently they don't count?

 

People have lost hours of progress on many many different weekends. Yes some of the cloud issues have been minor, but I'm really not seeing why this is the only one that's important. Sure some of the comments are massively hyperbolic complaints but it's plainly inaccurate to say today is the only day there has been a "real" problem.

Why is anyone surprised? It's the weekend, Rockstar don't do weekends.

 

There has been one Saturday since release where the Cloud (and R*) didn't fail miserably.

 

What a bunch of clowns, haha.

 

Really? Because I created my character on Sat Oct 12th and have played on every Sat morning except last weekend and never had any problems.

I could just clear it up and define "real cloud outage" as "Rockstar's cloud server being down where nobody is able to sign in to the game."

 

Does that help you out here? Other outages, in my experiences, haven't been complete outages, rather a few people having trouble here and there getting on, while others are on getting the "save failed" message, but overall the majority of players are still able to play.

I lost a little progression and a couple of cars in the first week of launch, I've had no major problem since. Sometimes I think people cause their own problems, dodgey connections being the major contributor.

Just tried to go from single player to online, and I just get a black screen.. Not even clouds anymore! but by coming on here and seeing this, I guess they are hot fixing something..

It's constantly updated with new content and the death matches are pretty intense. Bit of a grind, but it's pretty fun if you play it right.

The only thing that sucks about it is the wanted system is way too hard to avoid most of the time, and it can take decades to get out of the bad sport servers.

Yep - and if you talk nice to the strippers, they take you home, ply you with Rohypnol, and steal your life.

If you've been playing the max you will lose is 10 or 15mins of game progression as the game autosaves to cloud about that often.

If you weren't playing you'll lose nothing.

It's not a big deal! The servers have went down (either intentionally or not) They'll be brought up with something new included or not.
Simples folks calm down about it ffs, a lot of online games do this.

 

What pisses me off is, if this was planned where is the info? the 'headsup'? In-game notices of downtime are not impossible

I can imagine some cleaner unplugged the cloud servers to put the floor scrubber on.. "muchos hornos" playing in the background and lemon pledge being sprayed into the air vents of the server racks.
