I'm not into the whole Zombie thing, if it came down to either Zombies or Aliens I would choose Aliens, I think Zombies are very overrated.

When you think about it in the right angle, zombies are a cheap gimmick in the bulk of video games today, and movies, and media. It'll be deader than the WW2 shooters in the early 2000's in a few years.

I know a lot of you guys are tired of zombies, but if anyone can execute this correctly, it's Rockstar. I would love to see zombies in GTA V. It would add a creepy vibe to the Chiliad State Wilderness.

Give us a cheatcode that disables cops, traffic and makes everyone trying to beat the sh*t out of the player. Oh, and replace all peds with the zombie guy model.

Everyone happy.

Cheap to some, fun to others. I personally don't want Zombies in GTA (well, maybe as an online game mode), but hey others do. Not so much a gimmick as a crowd pleaser. I'm not really sure where you're pulling this negativity from when you're main focuses revolve around trains, happy hardcore and New Kids. Can't people obsess over zombies like you do with your subjects?

Just a thought.

I'm almost positive there's a difference between obsessing with hobbies in one's spare time and every video game using zombies, along with everybody wanting zombies to be in every video game. I see no difference between a zombie and an unarmed pedestrian charging at you, so chill Brent amigo. No need to get pissy about an opinion.

Who said I was being pissy? You're the one being hostile because I disagreed with your opinion. Why can't people play zombie games the way they want? Who gave you control over what people can want? All I'm saying is that if you're allowed to want trains to be fully functional in free roam, players should be allowed to want zombies and/or have them. I mean, you'd love a New Kids-esque GTA game right? Why can't we have a zombie GTA DLC then?

You're missing my point. I just stated an opinion/observation on zombie games today and how they're cheap/poorly written and how it seems to be a fad that's going to die out and then you come in, completely missing the point of my opinion and misinterpreting it and making it out like "people should not play zombie games period" rather than "zombie games aren't very well written".

YES, but ONLY as a separate session.
I don't want the game invested with zombies when I play normal missions.

Only separate sessions for both SP as Online (like RDR did it) will make this awesome. And yeah, RDR showed us it is actually, awesome.

Clearly you haven't played the Walking Dead, or Deadrising, or Resident Evil (classic, anyways), or The Last Of Us.

It'd be better to accept that there are properly written zombie games than saying they aren't well written. A zombie DLC would be so much interesting than a Franklin & Lamar thug lyfeeeee story.

Lock n' Stock

I would actually like to see a Zombie DLC, but not for the novelty of killing Zombies, but for the post-apocalyptic atmosphere.

Pretty much this. The thought of walking down a dilapidated Los Santos street with wrecked cars, smashed up windows and not a person in sight.

To be honest, maybe they could ditch zombies all together, because it's an overused concept these days. Maybe try some other kind of supernatural invasion.

I like Walking Dead series, i like RDR Zombies DLC (not a personal experience, from video in YT), i liked this descent open world game named State of Decay (go play it if you like zombies).

I do not want them in my favorite game ever. It would be a disgrace for a masterpiece

Id rather see aliens. We already had zombies in RDR, which was pretty good. But aliens would make more sense in GTAV.

I think there's enough zombie specific games out there that do it a lot better than GTA would if they shoe-horned it in.

And let's face it, anyone that doesn't want zombies in their DLC will become f*cking unbearable on here, complaining about how R* gave them zombies instead of [insert feature X here].

Signatures are dumb anyway.

Zombies would be pretty fun, might be a bit cheap or whatever, but would offer so much gameplay and interest. But I doubt Rockstar would do it, maybe Alien themed DLC,

If they put out a 100% perfect HD recreation of the 3D era trilogy on a single disk, in which you could travel from city to city in seconds, AND travel to new LC and LS, gave it away for free and included a $100 bill in the case, there would still be someone on here that would complain about it. Because gamers are sh*t.

Nah. Red Dead already did zombies. Aliens make the most sense, if they opt to go the "Undead Nightmare" route. Like an alternate timeline or universe type of thing. Given the fact that they've already sprinkled a ton of alien hints across the game world.

Zombies are not tired when done well and done fresh. Unfortunately, a lot of games have stopped doing them well. Probably a sign that they should be put to rest for a bit until fresh ideas come to mind.

Personally, I think we need more games that are like this little gem called "Stubbs The Zombie, in Rebel Without a Pulse". This is a zombie game from the perspective of a zombie. You eat brains, you gain zombie minions and you have several really fun zombie-related abilities that recharge or become more powerful as you eat brains. Simple premise, but with a lot of potential for innovation and improvement.

But again, GTA V seems to have this whole alien thing going, so i'm sure all the subtle buildup isn't for nothing.

Ah, Stubbs. I QA'd that game. f*cking hated it. I played it for 4 months solid. If anyone found any bugs in that game post-release, don't blame me.

Hated the game or the QA procedures? Since I hear testing games can ruin your experience quite a bit for when the game is officially out. Part of the reason why I don't find that job so appealing anymore. I used to think it was a dream job of sorts, but it tends to ruin the actual experience of playing the game in favor of helping perfect it. That's fine in the context of a paid job, but y'know...

I replayed the game quite recently. Had to figure out a fix to get it running on my GPU. It can get repetitive, but for its time, it was just really addicting fun.

I haven't found any bugs at all, myself. Except for when i got stuck at the bottom of a nuclear waste container because I had Infinite Health enabled in the .ini. Good times.

I wouldn't mind a game like Stubbs being made by Rockstar. Could be something new for them. Stubbs himself has personality, and Rockstar knows how to work with personalities. Maybe one day...

I thought there were already zombies in GTA V? They're called peds. They're about as lively as them.

Zinyak was tons of fun, though. Like a bond villain in alien form. However, I'm glad Rockstar didn't go that route.

...Yet.

I feel the amount of time needed to implement zombies and designing a city to look like it has been ravaged by an apocalypse could be much more better spent adding new features for replay value, something which SP is seriously lacking.

A little of both. Basically, I was playing through it from start to finish three times a day for the final 4 weeks of the QA cycle, so that one of the localisation testers could check the french translation. It's a grind, a really dull grind, when you know exactly what's coming.

Which is why I don't understand why people punish themselves in order to be good at games like Dark Souls.

You're right, Game QA can ruin games for you. I went into it just after playing through San An around its release and after 2 years in GQA, I didn't play a single game for six months. I actually felt like I hated games for that period.

I can't remember what pulled me back in the end, though I think it might have been VC. Ironically, as that's my least favourite 3D GTA

Depends what you want out of a game, I guess. I've played the story three times. One of which to 100% (true 100%).
