Prefered session (great idea!)

Often, I like to just free roam and kill some other players in online, with a jet, or tank, maybe sniping from the rooftops.
In some sessions you see a lot of players in one place, while in other sessions, everyone's doing boring stuff (in my eyes).

I think there should be an option where you can select a prefered session.
For example:

War session: for players who want to shoot each other.
Silent session: for players who want to free roam, mod cars, attack gangs etc.

You can still kill people in the silent session, but this option will result in people looking to shoot each other will be placed in a session where everyone is looking to fight each other.


Destroying cars in a war session will not make you a bad sport, while in a silent session IT WILL.

Seems like a good idea, but only on paper. You do have some interesting ideas, I just don't see how they can be properly implemented.

Perceus is right. There really is no way to implement a players exact play style. maybe a prefer and avoid lobby type thing that xbox has. not sure.

Yeah those sessions are called, invite only and open lobby.

 

If you want a war with folks, you can always start the party off by running up on folks and shooting.

 

You'll have your "war" session in no time.

for the most part, i don't know why they didn't give us an option to choose what kind of free mode we join, like in gta4

 

as far as friendly fire or not. its more fun meeting new people and doing things together, instead of being anti social and killing everyone in sight. This is the sole reason why people need basic freedoms taken away from them.

Well one idea is, if you press the ''back'' or ''select'' button where you can choose quick gps and inventory, if there's an option there where you can choose prefered session, and then next time you load a session you will be placed in that kind of session

let's not divide the player base even more

besides I like the unpredictable emergent nature of GTA's gameplay

you can come in a server and end up in the middle of a warzone, have every1 spread across the map or anything in between

not because these players chose a certain setting but because it just happened

Better idea, just let good sports join bad sport servers if they want with no repercussions of bad sport while they are there. Bam instant war servers. Also does not farther separate the community. Also lets bad sports play with friends.

Some people would purposely choose silent mode to go and cause some trouble in it.

Alot of ppl like to kill ppl who have no interest in fighting. They dont want an actually fight they want a cheap kill. I think the letting good sports join a BS lobby is a good idea. but not friends BS lobbies. You still have to punish the BS players. But let gs players join a BS lobby and blow up there cars, helps make staying a good sport even more important
