Haters and Fanboys we need to all agree on one bloody thing...

GTA Online is not a separate game to GTA V.

It was not bundled for free with V. It is part of V.

If it was a separate game, why is it not downloadable or purchasable on a separate disc?

They would have also worked harder on it making it more glitch free before launch.

Basically, R★ told us it was a separate game in order for us to think we were getting a better deal.

Nothing but clever marketing.

Lock n' Stock

"It's this 1 Thing that's got me tripping!"

Sorry, I got that song in my head from reading the title. Yeah, you do have a point. GTA Online feels no more than an separate multiplayer mode to the singleplayer game than RDR's multiplayer.

It's the same time period, it's only a fortnight before Story mode begins and the only reason for that is just in case you decide to kill off some of the characters who give you online missions.

If you switch from your online character to a sp character, the people that were alive in gta v online are in gta v dead (if you killed them)

So its still a separated game from gta v.

the game maybe set in the same city but gtao is it own game... V is just the launching platform for what gtao would likely become a few years from now.

with their plans of adding new cities and stuff in s few years we may be able to take a fly from SA down to VC or LC, heck even to a new place.

so no while they come in the same disc, they are separate entities.

I see it as the same game, no matter what rockstar says, it has the same characters, set in the same world, same engine etc...

The cellphone camera doesn't even work for offline players, the only options you get after snapping a picture are "delete" or "sign into social network," AKA play online.

that's just one very basic feature, that I was really looking forward to using (to take pictures of/save the locations of bike spots) that I don't have access to. What about all the "mistakes" and "overlooked" details that needed to be patched online right off the bat?

And for the people who are connected and can save pictures, the pictures save in a low resolution "because of cloud space limitations." Why couldn't they just make it so you could save them to the system/disk like any other game from the past ten years? They already stored 8 or so gigs on it with the install.

the game should've been advertised as online-only, but it wasn't. I wish more people would complain so that they'd have to release an actual finished product instead of the online-only slow drip.

I bought the game never intending to even touch anything online, but there's a lot of stuff that should be in the game but isn't, because it's online only or being teased as online dlc. There's absolutely no way they can still say they're not the same game.

If you don't want to connect to their sh*tty "social network" and all that it entails, you're stuck with what's literally a demo disk, and there's no way it wasn't deliberate.

Grand Theft Savage

They are the same game. Just different parts. Like there is The Last of Us and then there is Factions Mode.

Dude don't be so overdramatic. There are only a few things online has which offline doesn't. Even then singleplayer is still way more fun than online.

There is NO ONLINE pass for gtav. Almost every game that comes out with an online mode comes with a free code to access online. This free pass is usually only for the launch of the game. So if you buy the game at a later date or if you buy a used copy, you would need to pay a fee (usually $10) to play online. You can buy GTAV anytime new or used and wont need to use a code to access online.

So yes, online is a free addition. However, R* has stated how they plan to expand online in the future. When this happens you will most certainly need to pay something. Nothing at all wrong with that.

No I am not a fanboy, I just use common sense.

they need to add more citys, 90% of servers are a clusterf*ck in rockford hills while the other 10% scatters around the map
