saintsrow
On topic Sorry Op if you didnt feel like you got your moneys worth. personally i would have paid the £32 quid that my disk cost just for Single Player and online is just a bonus. Online is a bonus for GTAV single player in the same way that colon cancer is a bonus for eating cheeseburgers. I do agree, on a relative scale, even GTAV SP is worth $60 in comparison to all other $60 games. But we expected more from the Rockstar gods. I love interactive, virtual world online environments such as (specifically) Second Life, where we have tons of freedom and things to do. But GTA Online is like being dropped into a zoo full of violent mental patients. I will say, it's not all bad -- I'm coming around a bit. There are basic features that were on disks and cartridges 15+ years ago that aren't in this game. I understand the direction games are going, but it should have been advertised as online-only if they were going to make it so reliant on online updates. I don't want "online features," I want basic features from offline games of the past, and features from rockstar's past games which we were led to believe would be in this. "If you can join a forum, why can't you get online on your console?" Because my game console is my game console, and my computer is for the internet. I don't need or want to mix either, for many reasons, and people who say "just deal with it," when "it" is garbage, are the reason this country is the way it is. I don't want anything to do with rockstar's social network, just like I don't want anything to do with facebook or google+. "Deal with it" doesn't fix anything, it just makes you a smarmy prick who's a contributing factor in games getting worse and worse. I totally agree with both of your posts. We expected all the past GTA functionality plus some amazing new things. While we got the beautiful quality of the virtual world design, and some great looking cars, the many missing game elements were a letdown. In no way does online functionality make up for that. And it's sad that many people cannot see that all these online social accounts, and the constant attempt by providers to aggregate them, are something that should be avoided. Murray Bunyan
Even though I don't usually post on threads that are about bitching on something or something like that, but I'm really pissed with this Online thing. They're giving it too much attention. Next thing we know is that R* will be going F2P like Crytek and will only be making Online games exclusively for South Asia. I'm pretty sure that a lot of things from SP wouldn't have had removed if they scrapped this Online idea.
