WTF is happening to GTAF... these topics are popping up every single day... doesn't mean jack squat for offline players. the threads are constantly popping up for a reason. many reasons actually, but you've deluded yourself into thinking anyone who complains = someone who's wrong, so when you see a lot of complaints you think there's something wrong with the forum instead of the thing being complained about. we can't even use the cellphone camera or the big money/lester mission stocks, let alone all the other stuff that's been patched or added, let alone again all the basic stuff that people are clamoring for as dlc which should have been on the disk in the first place. not to mention just how bad/sub-par/totally unimproved/regressive/restrictive much of it is. Many things from all of rockstars past games are completely absent in this game, with clunky garbage in their place. We were expecting improvement, not regression and a slow, forced, online content drip. It was a $60 demo disk, and there's nothing wrong with people being pissed about that. It's crazy that people are still defending the company at this point. It was a $60 demo disk, and there's nothing wrong with people being pissed about that. I was also an offline player once, but then I realised that online is the future, and I eventually got a PSN account. . Remember this, not everything is going to be offline. There are features in games that are only available if you're online, deal with it. It will be like this in the next gen of games and gen after that. You can use the stocks, but only in LCN, not Bawsaq (since that is SC linked, but LCN is not), so stocks are available for offline players, but it is only for one of the stock markets. As for the demo disk? The game is on disc, not disk The game has a story, a large map and tons of stuff to do, and if you want those online features so badly, get online then! If you can join a forum, why can't you get online on your console?

There are basic features that were on disks and cartridges 15+ years ago that aren't in this game. I understand the direction games are going, but it should have been advertised as online-only if they were going to make it so reliant on online updates. I don't want "online features," I want basic features from offline games of the past, and features from rockstar's past games which we were led to believe would be in this. "If you can join a forum, why can't you get online on your console?" Because my game console is my game console, and my computer is for the internet. I don't need or want to mix either, for many reasons, and people who say "just deal with it," when "it" is garbage, are the reason this country is the way it is. I don't want anything to do with rockstar's social network, just like I don't want anything to do with facebook or google+. "Deal with it" doesn't fix anything, it just makes you a smarmy prick who's a contributing factor in games getting worse and worse.

Yes, I have a few modded cars and I would like the trackers in SP. @finn I did not intend to say that all of the MP features will be in SP, I just said that there will be some new SP content soon, and that there have been SP patches as well as the online patches. ASIAN LAWYER
This thread is poorly done, and you've clearly disragarded the pinned thread which was aimed at your disappointed ilk. I don't understand how "caring for online" somehow equates to a yearly rushed release; something like Call of Duty which feels a little samey every year (I'm not bagging out, for I thoroughly enjoy those games). Sorry, but we're entering an era in which the "mainstream market" cares more for the online, considering it is the meat that keeps the casual gamers coming back. And don't kid yourself, GTA is a casual experienced, and if anyone wants to call it a hardcore, complex game, then I'll gladly debate you for the next couple hours on your misconseption. Rockstar focussed on what their mainstream market would be playing for, and they did it well. And trust me when I say that the quasi-exponentially rising GTA hate band-wagon -which this forum seems to be jumping on-, is more alone then it realizes. all cockstar cares about is online R* will release single player content soon, and there have been patches for both online and single player, so your statement is incorrect. It's crazy that people are still defending the company at this point. Offline players aren't really the top focus these days. Sucks yeah, but it's just something you have to face till you catch up. These minor complaints don't really culminate that last paragraph which you hoped would sum up your argument. It was a full fledged game, with new content and removed content. Your disappointment, and the disappointment of others, is based on personal standards not being met. Edit: I'd also like to add that I'm not against legitimate complaints and arguments against this game. I too like to see games challenged and ridiculed for improvement. But when empty palaver is just spewed for the sake of spewing. Then I have to get on the counter-offensive. GTA definitely has many problems, but sadly, OP has not adressed them. In-fact, he doesn't even attempt to make a case. Edited November 16, 2013 by ASIAN LAWYER Detective Phelps and Geralt of Rivia
Finn 7 five 11
The problem isn't Multiplayer being a focus, at least not for me, My issue is that things that are in multiplayer, could so easily be in singleplayer, they just need to copy paste their coding, it'd take like a couple of minutes. The property purchases, the trackers, the insurance... so much stuff they could bring over to SP. A lot of people would appreciate it if R* does this, but R* also have the problem of fixing the bugs as well, both on SP and MP. After they have fixed the bugs, they should bring those features over to the story mode. BoeserBengel83 and ReekyAlex

Marty892
You keep forgetting that GTA Online is a separate game. It's not GTA V Online. That's hard to notice it for now I know, but soon GTA Online will be totally different than V, it just started with V's content. R* will improve it all time, adding new features, weapons, clothes, cities (LC) and when next GTA come (or even earlier), Online will be transferred to new RAGE engine version with whole new mechanics and with added new map. Just like World of Warcraft evolved over time. That's why in SP we won't see every feature from GTA:O.

He actually thinks people give a sh*t about this overstated opinions. That's not really the problem (imo). Its the problem that he uses some explicit language and call the game developer some name. However if its get too obvious that his points are not making any sense or are just for targeting the game/developer, then its like you said, negative (imo). Ive been carjacked a few times in this game. Also had someone try try jack a ride i was towing. Just sat at a red light with Trevors Bodhi on the back of a tow truck, Was taking the tow truck to park it up for a mission and a family member ran up and got in to try and steal it so i took a detour and dropped him off in Grove Street. It's rare but car thefts definately happen. On topic Sorry Op if you didnt feel like you got your moneys worth. personally i would have paid the £32 quid that my disk cost just for Single Player and online is just a bonus. It is a major improvement for any past GTA and with the constant patch fixes and upcoming DLC it is just getting better. Simply because you choose not to be part of online gaming does not make this a bad game at all and it was made very clear this was going to be an online heavy game.
