Player Kick. Whose Idea Was This?

Ok, getting kicked from a hosted game, pisses off but it's tolerable. Getting kicked from a session by other players, a little asinine but whatever. Getting kicked while in the middle of a mission though, hell no! I'm 5-6 waves into a survival mission, which pay good if you pass all of them and right in the middle of the incomplete round I get kicked by other players, who the 'f' made up that sh--?! It's bad enough getting kicked from a session in general but in the middle of gameplay?! And I risk getting a 'bad sport' rep for quitting early even though I was kicked! R* c'mon, what were you guys thinking when you came up with this feature?? No one can be that bad of a sport to where you can't just locate the guy on the map and let him have it. I understand privacy but still if you want to take over a room use a friends list. If you don't like a player it should be limited to bounties and muggings, it shouldn't disrupt an ongoing mission. I know I can spawn in the same area but the odds that you are going to find that same mission and be able to join it are not worth risking good gameplay is it? I feel like somebody owes me for that. That feature should be removed.

I've only seen it once where it was saying players were voting to have me kicked. So this topic actually ties into the topic about rated M for Mature. If the game is supposed to be for "Mature Players" then why is there even an option to kick a player from a session to begin with? A mature player would just leave the session and find a new one if something got on his/her nerves that bad. Or they'd learn to use the chat system and set it up so they only hear crew and friends talking. Instead of bitching at me for talking for example.

 

So I say that shouldn't be a part of a game that's supposedly "Rated M for Mature".

I've been kicked off servers a few times. with no idea why it happens. The last time, we were all done with our survival mission and completed all 10-waves. I then jump into freeroam after the success, and then get kicked from the server by the other players. I was like "WTF!".

I've been kicked for no reason before, imagine if your car just got destroyed and you got kicked so you lose your car

Guys i honestly believe that "you have been kicked by a player" is Rockstars default message used whenever you lag out or have internet issues or whatever. I think they do it to shove off blame from themselves and let us justbitch at each other. I have been kicked from freemodes that i was only in for a matter of seconds. I have been kicked from freemodes that i was the only remaining person in. I have never seen any sort of vote option be popped up and to believe that 5 or 10 random people in a session just up and decided to all kick a random player in a non threatening vehicle not bothering anyone is kinda upsurd.

I think it might go deeper too, I got kicked from the tutorial screen when I first created my character. I've seen a whole session empty out at one time just to have me be the only one remaining. After I posted this thread (and cooled off) I jumped into another survival mission that ended abruptly, this time with pay but strangely nobody died during the mission to cause it to end.

Kicked by other players can not be for real... it has to be lag or some error... I am kicked from free roam after completing a mission, im kicked while in my garage picking a car, im kicked when i start a mission, im kicked when .... hell there is NO reasons... I was getting mad at other players wondering what i was doing wrong... even unplugged my headset thinking my random bitching after a mission was getting out to the server.. lol. Nothing works, and I am sure people are not voting to kick me now and its some lag error that Rockstar is covering with this BS message.

well you may not have actually been kicked by other players...if you are having bad connections or lag you will be automatically kicked...i tested this by lagging. but It says i have been kicked by other players...when actually i have been kicked becuase of the lag.

kicking people is useful on the odd occasion.. I've started missions whereby a couple of players get into a car and just drive off as though they're in a free roam session leaving the rest of us to complete the mission, of course they get a payout and rp to boot, cheeky or what.. getting kicked for no reason though is ridiculous.

well you may not have actually been kicked by other players...if you are having bad connections or lag you will be automatically kicked...i tested this by lagging. but It says i have been kicked by other players...when actually i have been kicked becuase of the lag.

 

 

Ahhh....that makes sense. Was wondering what up with that.

kicking during makes sense in some situations though.. i was playing Base Invaders (the mission where you destroy lasers and steal the cargo bob.).. it was 3 of us playing. one guy actually stole a laser to shoot enemies.. i couldn't tell if he actually destroy lasers, but i destroyed most of them. i got to the cargo bob and died. the 2nd guy got far but died as well.. the other guy in the jet was still flying around and shooting soldiers for a good 10min until i decided to PSN him and tell him "WTF?!! get the cargo bob!" or something like that.. he finally ditched the jet but then he went up to the hangar and camp/cover outside shooting the respawning soldiers outside for another 5min until i decided to quit. I had a vote kick hanging on his head since he was in the jet. He was just wasting our time or just a super noob. No idea how that game ended or when it did. if someone wastes your time, they deserve to be kicked.

I've played that mission and it is tedious, the soldiers just keep coming and then there's one in the hanger where the cargobob is, if he wasn't destroying lazers then he should have been on the ground having it out with the soldiers, it might have made for a successful mission.

 

As far as lag issues I think this leans more towards players picking up the tab for you know who. The other day I was getting disconnected from game sessions and XboxLive and couldn't help but 1der how bad my signal actually was so I popped in Midnight Club to check it because I've never had server issues with it and sure enough it was smooth sailing.

yea i hate that.. i join a random race.. it puts me in down the drain, i hear 2 guys talking on the mic and the one guy, i think the host, was saying "i don't know how to kick these motherf*ckers out".. his friend then proceeded to tell him how.. they could solve that problem in the first place by making it a closed session. why are people so stupid?

I'm pretty sure I've been kicked by players in Free Mode because the session was full and 'crews' wanted to invite some more of their friends. Twice I was just exploring the city, minding my own business, when this happened.

 

Sometimes it says 'you have been kicked from the mission' in a race or whatever, and I think that's down to server lag, not other players.

 

I've rarely kicked anyone in GTA 4 or 5, and would like this feature to be removed because it favours the group over the individual.

In my experience the kick thing is one of three things:

 

1. Technical issue, the message you are getting is wrong or badly worded. Don't worry about it.

 

2. In lobbies, the host has left matchmaking "OPEN" because they don't know what it means, because their parents dropped them as a baby. You and other randoms spawn into their session and they only want to play with their idiot friends so kick you via the "view joined players profile" option on the menu of the host.

 

I've overheard people with mics tell their friends to kick me as I've joined random games because of exactly the above. It used to happen in GTA4 too.

 

3. Someone got upset with you.

 

Doesn't happen as much, because most people just leave a session if it sucks for them.

yes i do get kicked as well...

i tried different solutions but none of them seems to help.

sometimes i do see a kick vote against a player who most of the time instantly being removed...

but i found a topic from a guy from the netherlands and he suggest the following..

the matchmaking system works with your friends & crews..

so he had an crew since max payne (mp3) and so his active crew was mp3.

find a crew that has a lot of active members and is from your local area...

im trying it tonight because my girl is watching television first

my crew now is 1 from USA :-)

i found one from belgium and gonna make it as my active crew

 

anyone tried that al ready? and? did it work?
