Insuring the tank without putting it in a 2nd time?

I managed to get the tank into my garage but messed up the insurance portion. Could someone please go into detail about how to do this?

 

A guy helped me get a riot in the other day and showed me a way to get it insured without having to put the vehicle in a second time. Is this possible with the tank as well?

1) Get glitched car into garage.

 

2) Take whatever car you want in your garage to destroy (and also replace with your glitched car).

 

3) Destroy the car outside, go back inside.

 

4) Call MMI. Wait for the top left menu. Get inside glitched car with the menu still open.

 

5) Drive out. Wait for the screen to go black. Spam X or A.

 

6) When you see your character again; Press Start > PSN/XBOX Store. Exit store.

 

7) While on foot, go inside garage.

 

8) Take a different, regular car and drive it out.

 

9) Drive it back in.

 

10) Voila, 2 glitched cars. One insured, one not.

sry to derail a bit, im having issues getting the tank into the garage. ive watched multiple videos and i dunno what im doing wrong.

 

- do you park the tanks front end up against the garage door? or leave a small gap?

- how tight to the left wall, so i slam it next to the wall where i hear it damaging the tank or leave a little space?

- if jt fails to go into the garage i walk out of the garage, call for a job request so i can get back into the tank. otherwise i just keep going in the garage. then i drive away and come back, if i don't the door stays disappeared after the failed attempt. does that sound right?

Lol no even more glitches were found, there's one where you buy a car without losing your cash

The store part, step 6, is unnecessary. Instead you can walk back into your garage after step 5, and drive any other car out. That will cause the one you just insured to be replaced into your garage,and will also duplicate it with an uninsured version, which you'll see the next time you enter either on foot or in the car you just drove out.

After you're outside with your now-insured vehicle, walk back into the garage. Drive out any vehicle.

 

Now your insured vehicle is back in the garage.

 

This works for completing the insurance process on any glitched vehicle.

Why can't you destroy it? You don't get sent to a BS lobby for destroying one PV. It takes quite a few. Besides which there's a quite popular thread here detailing how to efficiently snipe the driver, so destroying it is just one option.
