Allow ownership of businesses in GTAO

Like in single player where we got to buy businesses. Other players could attack owned businesses and try to take over, and the owner would have to defend it. Players could try to starve the business by destroying re-supply trucks that the owner would have to protect.

How that gonna exactly work since like say 5/15 players in the lobby may own that same business. Kinda like that expensive apartment people camp outside since half the lobby lives there. It would be cool but its not feasible under the current system.

It's completely feasible. You just own the buisnes and make income from it. If multiple people own the business then multiple people earn it's income. The concept of supply and demand doesn't really apply in the GTA universe.

We also need a torching option. Maybe we don`t want to own it, but we can`t allow you to either, so we`ll just burn it to the ground. That`ll starve it properly...

[EDIT] Joke aside, it will force defensive crew rotations, which will more or less sway the balance in favor of big crews. I don`t do well with big crews in touch with their inner a-hole. And I can`t agree with an idea that forces big crew power blocks.

just an idea...maybe own them for that session? sort of like job points? you can buy a business when you join a game and you get income from it for as long as your are part of that lobby. it pays off a certain amount a day as well as providing side jobs and the ability to be attacked by other players. that would be doable and pretty fun trying to protect your business

Ever torch the strip club? it's really entertaining.

Edited my original post - it will force large crews membership and that is not something I want. If I want politics, I`ll go to EVE, not to this cesspit of a community.

What happens when you get disconnected for any reason that is independent of your will? Like the game losing connection to the lobby and "kicking" you?

thats life. there are no safeguards against that anywhere in online gaming.

Very well thought out. Bravo!

Not a compliment, btw.

..... Or why not be able to form your own type of business? Like mercenary service, transport, support or hitman? You pay an X amount of money of their choosing and they deliver. If they don't deliver by a set time then you fire them take your money back and rate them to affect their presentation towards other players.

Hired Assassins and bodyguard protection should be invisible on the minimap.

You can charge whatever you like but if you do not fulfill the deed by a certain time of then you reimburse them where they have the option to neg rep meaning you get less potential clients. Neg and positive reps should not be point based or visible, but rather affects the amount of clients available to you. This can be tailored to accommodate level or money class (millionaire or less) And neg reps can only be chosen should they not fulfill the deed, and to avoid useless trolls the time to carry out the task is no less or no more than one in game day. If they leave then the job is automatically void. This is like a focused bounty only the pay is higher.

They can do it the same way they do apartments.... for instance... it makes sense that half the people own the hella expensive apartment because there are like 200 units in that building. So its assumed that they all go to a different unit when everyone is in their own crib yet its all at the same building.

This same idea can work with a business online. For instance, say its like a big office building with say.. many different corps. comming out of the same building. WEll you go to the property sign in front of the building and select which business you want to take over.... IT doesnt matter if other people own the same business because it all sort of blends into the same building like the apartments. So even though 3 people are in the exact same building and apartment #... it can still be assumed that they are in different units... same can guidelines apply to the businesses.

Nice idea.

And money can be done simple: ESCROW. Money gets awarded or not based on met goals.

I don`t like anything up to player, especially business reps, so it should be automatic, not player based. You can exploit this by finding a loophole, put massive numbers of contracts up, then mass neg rep competing business.

Ok so maybe you don't physically own the property. A truck appears and you have to protect it until it gets to it's destination to resupply the store. The store isn't a physical store that players can see. Basically you buy a property and every so often you have to escort a truck of supplies, or sabotage a competitors truck.

Okay so you actually own stock from a certain company, depending on the stock you own depends on the missions you get. Pisswaser stock? You better protect that shipment if you want your stocks to go up. FlyEmu stock? Better keep that runway clear of all other planes. Lifeinvader? Better make sure that any bad press is stopped immediately.

I think the stock thing would open up tons more missions and in turn your stock goes up, which you can sell or keep buying.

Say 15 people(not in the same game) own pisswaser stock, well maybe at 5-9:00AM GTA time a truck will make its way to deliver stock and needs protection from gangsters. Depending on how many of those 15 people defend their truck and deliver the stock, affects how much the stock raises or falls. If 10 people fail that mission then stocks fall for everyone that owns pisswaser, if 10 people pass then stocks raise up.
