Have I lost my car?!

So I had the free Elegy and tuned it up a bit. I got into a gunfight online yesterday and died, when I respawned it said the police had impounded my car. However I was about to go to bed so turned off my PS3.

 

I've loaded up the game this evening and there's no sign of my car anywhere, the impound isn't marked on the map and the mechanic says my garage is empty.

 

So have I lost my car in the time I haven't been playing the game? If so that's bloody ridiculous!!

If you have it insured call Mors Mutual Insurance. The police destroy cars if they are impounded too long.

Yeah, it's more than likely a claim you need to file with Mors.

 

If not, it's because you turned the system off without leaving GTAO properly, so your cloud save got fukered up.

I had the same thing happen the other night. I assumed I could just call mors the next day, but alas they didn't pick up for the 10 times I tried, so I took out another PV and blew it up, call mors and they picked up, but I could only claim the 2nd PV. Luckily it was only a tornado, so not too expensive to lose, but now I get the joy of finding another. if it was my cheetah I probably would have thrown my ps3 out my 5th floor window tho....

I was lucky this morning, someone destroyed my BF Surfer and it was missing from my garage.

 

I tried calling Mors Mutual Insurance but it was busy.

 

Then I remembered someone on this forum if this happens exit out of online and go back into single player, then reload online. Luckly for me the van returned in its space. This is worth trying if the above happens to you.
