The ONE thing I miss from GTA IV

In my honest opinion, I think GTA V is better than GTA IV in all ways... all ways, but one.

DAT SATISFYING "THUMP" SOUND IT MADE WHEN YOU RAN OVER SOMEONE.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who misses this. If I run over a group of people in GTA V, it isn't as forceful and satisfying as it was in GTA V. Check it.

I know what you are saying. NPCs were apparently more massive in GTA IV. But I do still hear a satisfying metal thunk / thump when I hit them in GTA V at a decent speed. :colgate:

If I hit people in V, it's sort of like hitting a pillow and, now that you mention it, it was more fun hitting people in IV when it was like hitting a bag of sand.

I said this earlier, it's about time people who criticized GTA 4 upon release from top to bottom comparisons with San Andreas are now praising Rockstar to gift them GTA 4. It's such a gem.

Bullsh*t, not the game but fans in general, never stick to or firmly hold one opinion.

Tomorrow is the time when GTA V will be their next love affair.

Great video, very entertaining.

2:46 - "Oh sh*t..." *splat*

The thuds in general just aren't there, but i think V's peds are made from feathers and therefore have no weight behind them.

(How'd you record the sequences without the camera moving, just in the same spot?)

Algonquin Assassin

First person vehicular mayhem in GTA IV> GTA V.

Indeed, it basically comes down to people being stupid.

Lock n' Stock

It's just as satisfying for me, though I do miss the way people got crushed whenever you drove right over them.

Haha, yeah. Running over people may of been a downgrade from IV, but its still fun.

Vespucci Beach + First person mode = Cloudy with a chance of VEHICULAR MANSLAUGHTER

Or maybe it's just that people who liked IV are more vocal now?

Personally, I still think IV sucks when compared with other GTA's.

I miss the multiplayer. Ok the graphics were poor, there was limited custimiztion,., there were no activities, but it was somehow more fun.

But i miss the good things.

1) the spirit!

Everyone used to hang at the airport where there used to be good and bad people. Players used to team up more. one times everyone in the parking lot had baseball bats and we were all running around trying to beat eachother (all random players i may add) No one drew a gun for ages! None of that in gta v, you cant get within 2 blocks of players without them wanting to kill you.

maybe i just need more friends to play with. Like i had a blast playing destruction derby at the horse racing track a few weeks ago. (one of the highlights of online for me. ) Add me guys on pSN

what I miss from IV is the ability to pick small things up from the ground and throw it around. it was really fun to me :(

I loved that.

But ragdolling compensates that for me

The one I miss is the Free Roam Style from GTA IV. Weapons lying around, you could turn police off, no money, no bad sport.

I have completely avoided GTA V Free roam with other people.... I always do invite only sessions. Pretty sad that R* made a game that encourages people to AVOID other players ONLINE

not being able to eat at burger shot or hot dog stands. why put them in the game if you cant use them? it seems pure lazy of rockstar to leave that out.

I also miss the talking GPS.

Haha yeah, especially when it would occasionally actually SAY 'bing bong' instead of making the noise. Use to crack me up every time :)

that's exactly why my reply was "multiplayer".

BTW, thanks for the tip on the invite only sessions. i didn't know you could do that. it would be much easier not having to mute everyone as soon as i join a session.

i'm just farming my way up to unlock ALL weapons then i'm going on an "old school GTA IV killing spree" with all the built up tension i've acquired unlocking f*cking weapons.

i plan on being a "bad sport" forever.

I just noticed this the other day actually after running over someone's already dead body. I noticed the lack of thud and car movement. So I ran over them again and this time I got it.

I think it's there, just inconsistent.

Pretty much this.

In GTA V, when you hit them it feels like you're just going through them.
