Ok, so robbing a store is stealing too?
And selling cars legit?
I mean those ARE ways to make money, right? So I must be stealing by making money when I'm not using cash cards. Oh wow, I must be a hard-core thief, look at what GTA has done to me...

If you counterfeit money you aren't stealing. You are deflating the economy. Since there is no real economy in GTA, you can't possibly be deflating anything and you still aren't stealing.

Think of it like this, maybe:

Your friend buys the game Monopoly and invites you and some friends over to play.

Everyone shows up to play, except you brought all the money from your own copy of the game to give yourself an advantage over everyone else.

When they see what you've done, they accuse you of cheating.

Your reply is either, "There's no rule that says I can't bring my own money, I mean it's called 'Monopoly,' right?" or maybe, "Hasbro is a huge company that has made millions off this game. If they didn't want me to bring money from my copy, then they should have put that in the rules! I'm not cheating - it's Hasbro's fault for not putting it in the rules!"

Whether it's moral or not moral, cheating or not cheating, either way, your friends are still going to think your a knob and they're never going to invite you back.

Just saying, is all. Cheers! ;)

f*ck, guys... I just got $10k from a mission. I'm stealing from R*. I feel so bad :(

Is there a way I can rebalance my karma? Perhaps hand deliver a cake to the R* North offices wearing nothing but a pair of speedos and a feather bower?

Hey, there was no option to buy cash packs, the missions started to get boring, it got even worse with R* cutting payments idea, and the Stimulus Pack was late like what..ONE MONTH?

I needed money so I got it.

Whatever. Rockstar didn't cut back payments until a few weeks into it and people were already doing the glitch. If you hadn't made any money by that time, then you are just terrible at it and need the extra edge.

Gosh guys, I just stole from R* because I did survival, I better buy a cash card to compensate my evil that I've done.

I had money..but 300.000$ with 205.000$ apartment and normal cars just didn't motivate me enough to keep playing the game. I already have to work hard in real life to get nice things, I don't want to waste more time than I have to have nice things in a videogame.

Why would R* even think of stupid cash cards. Complete RIP OFF. No RL money should be spent in games thats already been bought. Greedy R*

The game still aint right and items you buy are still disappearing, would R* refund me every time my mini-gun ammo resets to 0? prob not how would I prove it. Its better to glitch. Lost so much money and items its unreal.

Imagine you worked hard and earned $10,000, you put in a bank, you went to the bank the next and they said sorry we've lost your money, they refuse to do anything about it, but p!ss you off further by asking you to give them more money for a pointless item.

Upon leaving the bank you notice $20,000 of the banks money on the table...most people would take that money and call it justice...you would just walk past and say "thats cheating"? lol

You probably still buy cd's and think all of your 22 bucks is going to your favorite artist. lmao. Steal it all just don't break my car window for my change again thanks.

If your worried about in game stealing your in for a world of hurt. Guess what, most people I know get most of their current pc games like cod ghost from torrent sites and were playing them a week before they came out. Yeah. Stealing oh sh*ttt what?

i agree with the fact that rockstar shouldnt be charging for fake money... i mean... its FAKE. would you buy monopoly money ? didnt you already pay too much for this game ? if glitching is steal... robbing stores is worse. thats armed robbery... youre getting the same thing... but with a gun and usually a murder. i hope rockstar bans me so i can DDOS the social club site, every day, forever.

Lol, another tool who thought glitching would get them banned and it was the only reason they didn't partake, and are now seething as a result of a complete lack of any bans now or ever, and being a pauper....

That's not even a correct example...

Bringing your own money to a Monopoly game wouldn't even remotely damage Hasbro, it would actually show they were making money. OP is claiming that glitching is basically stealing Rockstar's money, and ruining their chances of making money.

So people exploit the game to make money?

A .50 Cal to the head works the same on them as everyone else in the game.

Oh, and I love how you claim you know how to "DDOS". Have fun trying to "hack" by Googling the help. As well, have fun looking like a massive dickhead and possible jailtime if you get caught.

Stop making empty threats, kiddo.

It was more the fact that it's against xbox lives terms of service! It's considered just cheating the stealing part is questionable. I think If rockstar made it a virtual currency where you could export money back into the real world then you would all be in big trouble. But still any glitchers is on some real shaky ground that's for sure!

F. Cheating & Tampering

-Do not cheat in a game unless cheats have been deliberately enabled by the developer.

-Do not use unauthorized hardware or modifications to gain an advantage or disrupt the competitive landscape of Xbox Live.

-Do not exploit game vulnerabilities or glitches.

-Do not make unauthorized modifications to your account profile or its contents, to include but not limited to: tenure, Avatar, game saves, or Gamerscore.

-Do not intentionally play with someone who is using unauthorized software or methods.

-Do not play any illegitimately obtained software or pirated games.

-Do not take any action to cause degradation of service for Microsoft or other users.

-Do not play a game before it has been authorized for play on the service.

I haven't looked for myself, but I've been told that $1,000,000 in virtual cash cards cost around $20. If that's true then R* is the real thief, in my opinion. I think the whole job reward nerf was less about getting us to do other activities and more about backing us into a corner so we would see the cash cards as a gift from above. Blatant cash grabs like this have caused me to drop more games lately than I care to mention.

If this was the case, millions of people would have been banned on Xbox for numerous other games, to grind out XP on glitches and such, ranging from FPS games, to platformers. The thing is, Xbox doesn't police everything to the letter, as some players think will happen. As well, I've never actually seen a player on Xbox get banned or even a warning, unless the game developers or other players pushed for it.

So, yea.

People drive over the speed limit and don't get caught, people murder people and don't get caught, does this make it right?

To the glitchers, you know it's wrong, so don't cry if you get caught.

BTW, R* is not forcing anybody to purchase cash cards, as you make plenty of cash playing the game as intended. It's just an option for those who might want things sooner.

Know it is wrong? Like people have stated, Rockstar doesn't seem to care. As well, there was notice before where Rockstar even noted that people who had glitched in RDR would not have any repercussions.

And no, nobody is crying. Maybe you should get off your high-horse, and stop acting like you are special for playing the game 100% legit. If this is your mind set, shouldn't using SP cheats be against the rules too, seeing as using cheats in general is considered "bad"?

Because you don't agree with the law, it doesn't make it legal.

You agreed to R* terms of service before you played. If you didn't read it, that's your fault.

Ignorance is no excuse.
