My garage reverted back to what it was roughly a week ago. I lost my new fully modded Entity XF and a bunch of other cars I modded/bought. All of my rare cars are gone as well (Sultan RS, Rat-Loader). I also lost all my flight skill, driving skill, and shooting skill. Im level 50 and had those three maxed. I also lost all race progress. I cannot buy EMS upgrades, turbos, etc even though I have 61 races won. They were unlocked yesterday morning and now they are locked even when it shows my race wins in the race menu. Eff rockstar and their BS. I probably lost 30-50 hours of progress and $1-$1.5 million in upgrades, cars, and cash. Im mostly pissed about losing all my skills and race wins.

It has been stated numerous times that people with completely legit garages are losing stuff as well, me included.

They duped or glitched unauthorized vehicles in their garage. After the garage reset, they lost the stuff they bought after they glitched.

This is BS. I didnt use any glitches at all. It was all hard earned hours. Its not just garages. I lost all my race wins after I spent 6 hours with my buddy doing races over and over last saturday. I cannot buy turbos, EMS upgrades, etc now, it says I need more race wins even though in the race menu is shows I have 61 races won. My buddy I did the races with still has all of his stuff and he did glitch money. I also lost all my flying, shooting, and driving skills after I had them all maxed.

Rockstar replies: "Sorry, but once it's gone it's gone. Lost to the Cloud......"

 

Rockstar says: "Yay! We fixed the Cloud issues! Have some free moneh!"

Player says: "Umm.... My progress has been 'restored' to a previous point in time. I thought things couldn't be retrieved from the Cloud?"

I would love to know if their cloud solution is in-house or provided by a third party. I'd also like to know why after guaranteed mass problems every weekend since release they still seem to take weekends off?

 

Who thinks they'll post some updated info before Monday? Not me :/

Updated 11/9/13 6:00 PM ET: We are continuing to look into some reports about out-of-date garages or missing cars. Yesterday's intermittent cloud save errors should no longer be happening today.

Funny. As of 6:42PM ET my screen is still reading, "The Rockstar cloud servers are unavailable right now. Please try again later." The same message I've had for about 24 hours. Still bummed.

Nope. Had to resort to glitching to get the money back and I'm in the process of buying/finding and then upgrading and respraying all my cars over again.

dilemma - should i wait with little (or actually not even 1%) hope that R* could somehow recover from this, or just forget about my hard-earned money and start all over again.

if i have to start all over again, i m thinking to give up on GTAO... i really cant be arsed to do the same thing all over again.

No, Rockstar. Don't give us the HDD save option support in case this happens. We love losing things.

But guys even if you lost 2 or 3 cars you can be happy with this. I lost my full garage including cheeta, entity , adder, z-type and a, prison bus and a fighter jet :blink:

i have had this since day one... the only thing that saves is my level.

 

my cars have saved intermittently...

 

i have lost countless Sultan RS's with mods, Stinger GT, Vacca and many many more.... :(

at what point does rockstar just give refunds for this clearly broken and untested product?

 

5 patches later and they seem to make the game worse with each one. then the $500k that was supposed to be a reward for dealing with their f*ck ups turns out to be just as big a f*ck up.

Today's update: "We continue to look into the issues causing some players the inability to log onto the cloud servers."

An entire weekend now gone by and no resolution. I can understand problems, but this is ridiculous.

i know it's impossible, but i wish R* could share the number of people (and % of total GTAO gamer) that are affected by this "error"

My 2¢.

You posted this comment nearly 24 hours ago. I have not been able to connect since Friday afternoon. It's now Monday - a holiday - and still not able to connect to GTA:O.

 

You'd think 2-3 days would be enough time to remedy a matter like this, since it's likely affecting more than just a few people. However, given that it is a holiday, the worker bees may not be back to R*HQ until tomorrow.

 

Each time I load the game up and get the "R* cloud servers unavailable" message, it makes me a little sick to consider how many people have "supported" and "invested" in this company, only to be told to, literally, "try again later."

 

But three days later? That's awful. Just awful.
