Rockstar Cloud Server Unavailable...?

For over an hour I've got this message on my screen:

"The Rockstar cloud servers are unavailable right now. Please try again later."

Been a long week and I was hoping to chill. Guess I'll read one of those paper things with the words in it. ;)

people are losing their saves after supposedly the newest patch fixed that,

and now suddenly, cash cards are available.. hmmmmmmm

I can log in but only with what they call "a temporary character," which once I get into a session (which I can't save anything), I'm at level 1 again. No weapons, vehicles, apartments, nothing. And I'm not one of the exploiters. They'll never do it, but if they reset the entire thing to even the playing field and started everyone off with the "stimulus," then we'd see where things go. Again, they'll never do that.

Just for the record, level 1 is the worst. ugh.

Watching R* continue to ruin people's lives (lol fo' real for so many) by continuing to have these mass save dumps ...

 

The timing of this f*ckup puts it over the top; I don't think they can break this record setter without a new online-mode ADD-ON to hack together in 3 weeks.

 

Bravo sirs. I have received atleast $600 entertainment value already.

In what sense do you mean "the timing?" That it coincides with the release of the cash cards? Granted, I've still got the Single Player game to toy with, but I know a lot of people who've invested a lot of their personal time into this product, right? If it's frustrating for me, what's it feel like for those people? ugh!

a follow-up for anyone experiencing the same issue. 8 hours later and I'm still getting the "Cloud servers unavailable message."

Every weekend....sort your sh*t out

Is it possible there's just an overload of user activity causing the problem? Never seen anything like this before. Pretty frustrating. ;P
