Benniwest Posted November 9, 2013 Share Posted November 9, 2013 Right straight up to the mods, I'm not posting in the correct sub because no one is viewing or replying, so I'm posting her in hope of a quick answer. I'm a 100% sp but never really play online! however given that R* have given me 500k I thought I'd bash some online tonight. Now I thought it would be prudent to buy a property so I opened for one in Central LS cost about 217k brought a Vacca for about 240k and a 6 car garage for about 80k, so after all this I check the map and the garage is there, so I rock down there, enter and sure enough my Vacca is there.....everything is sweet right??? No.... I come out but my apartment is not showing ?? Confused I am.... So I check my, maze bank statement and the property Is showing as is the car but not the garage..... Wtf??? Now I know I don't know fudge about online but surely this is not right??? When you buy a new property you are credited half the value of the old one towards the price - so I'd guess what has happened is that you unwittingly sold your apartment and effectively got the 6 car garage free as a result...it seems you may have confused the game in the process as generally people wouldn't trade downward like that - should still have been caught in testing IMO. Whenever I've upupgraded properties there's been a notification warning me I'll lose the old one and have whatever amount deducted from the price of the new one - as in real life, it pays to read the fine print. To me, it seems clear that this situation wasn't tested properly - at least there should have been an 'are you sure' dialogue and a refund of about $28k (half of $217k - 80k).
