Heres the Shark Card Prices

On the one hand I don't want to believe anyone would actually pay 20 USD for 1.25 million in-game. On the other hand... No, nevermind. There is no other hand. I'm sticking my fingers in my ears now. My faith in humanity is low enough as it is.

There will be an unhealthy amount of players buying various priced cards, which will convince Rockstar that they can and will have success in marketing buying cash in their games - happily joining the EA/Activision club.

I am left only with Bohemia Interactive now... The World has become a very small place...

$2.99 for 100k? Do they know McDonalds has a new Cheddar-Bacon-McChicken for $2??

That sounded good except for the McDonalds part.

I agree that the prices are too high, but just because the cards are available now doesn't mean we can't still enjoy GTAO. If other people choose to buy them why should we care? It's not like it effects us at all. The game is still the same, and money doesn't really give one person an advantage over another. Besides, if money was an advantage than every glitcher and hacker out there would have a huge advantage over everyone else, which they don't. They'll have nice vehicles and that's it.

An economy assumes there is a limited supply of money . There isn't so stop saying money in the gta economy that statement makes no sense.

You need to study and educate yourself. An economy is not dependent in a limited amount of money. There is infinitive money in the real world. An economy in the most simplest terms is a transaction

I have item A but want item B. You have item B and want Item A. We negotiate and agree to terms and trade items. Economy.

The in-game economy of GTA is ironically a utopia right now. The players don't trade with each other. All transactions are with the game itself. There is an endless amount of job opportunities. As people acquire in-game money and amass small fortunes, the in-game economy doesn't change. The terms for all those transactions i.e. car and apartment prices do not change.

There is no tax. There is no inflation. There is only continued and infinite productivity.

If they are confident in these prices... it means the hammer will be coming down on the glitched money degenerates. Prepare to die.

Which is why these numbers are probably fake. Heck with these money glitches i wouldn't be suprised to see them scrap the whole $$$4money thing all together. I bet when gta 2.o hits ps4/xbone there wont be any money glitches ;-)

Too bad there isn't going to be a next gen version.

If any past examples are a sign of things to come, GTA 6 will be a grind fest that will almost force you to buy cash cards.

So far it isn`t a problem for me and it will never be for GTA 5.

_____________________

Example: Bioware and SWTOR, which was bought by EA. Launches as premium 60 bucks a pop, sub based MMO at 15 bucks a month. Tanks like there is no tomorrow - mainly because highly sought features weren`t in - nice clothing, re-model of char, customization, etc. Transitions to free 2 play in less than a year and goes to GAMBLING microtransactions - buy packages that will give you a CHANCE of a nice thing. So, you could spend 1000 bucks and get the same crap over and over again - everything else BUT that crystal you want. The f*ckers held back the very things that should have been in to SELL them as microtransactions. Percentage based gambling microtransactions, to make things worse...

I am slightly concerned that Rockstar might go down that road.

You all blame Rockstar for being greedy, yet which company made people pay for online subscriptions to consoles ?? And which group of gamers didn't say much and took it in the bum? Xbox owners.

Thanks to that little ground breaking group of idiots, we now have industry wide micro transactions, pay 4 play dlc, etc.

Rockstar is capitalizing on something you fools let happen. Can't blame them for that.

There's a reason xbl has a subscription and the psn doesn't. Let's sit back and think, which network is down the most for maintenance and problems? Which network got hacked and completely shut down for a couple of months as well as allowing credit card information to be stolen?

ProTip: It wasn't xbl.

Glitching 25m in los santos - absolutely free

Laughing when Rockstar does nothing about it and gives you another 500,000 - also free

why do ppl think bc R* hasnt banned a ton of glitchers that they wont do it? They have bigger priorities right now, Once they dont have bigger issues, they will start dealing with cheaters.

I actually expected to be banned or reset or whatever this past week when they we're sending out the stimulus but nope.

Now I really don't think its happening and even if it does they've waited too long for it to "punish" any cheaters. I've already had my fun and with PS4 coming out I'll probably stop playing within the next two weeks even if they don't ban me,

Wait till you can give money to other players. Even if all the glitches will be fixed, someone will find how to hack the money and will be selling cheap. Somethig like EVE Online. You can get billions for as little as $10...

If the 100k was 1.99 I'd say maybe, but these seem stupid considering glitches still exist.. I sense something bad in the air.

Personally, I can't say Rockstar is being too greedy with things. Are the cards overpriced, surely, but they aren't as bad as some other "non-subscription based" persistent multiplayer games.

I'm a big fan of Warframe, however the pricing system in that game is a joke, GTA's looks inviting compared to it, and thankfully, there aren't microtransaction only purchases that force you into it. You can buy everything in the game via play time.

Will I be purchasing money from R*? No, I will not. However, I will not say they are being greedy, they are simply introducing themselves into the "Free to Play" Market.

Does anyone actually believe a virtual Adder is worth $20?

Sure, $20 is not much. But I wouldn't pay $20 for someone's toenail clippings, and even that is worth more than a virutal Adder.

Just think, some weekends they'll have the money for half price or something so dolts will buy it up thinking it's a good deal. I can't believe what they are charging for fake money. You would think they would be going for a higher quantity sold rather than selling fewer at a premium.I could possibly, maybe, big maybe, see charging 5 bucks for a million in game dollars. But that still seems expensive.

I had to go to Ebay and look at those ads. Those people are pathetic, but anybody who would pay them is way more so. They only need access to your xbox live account for 3 hours! What a crazy, crazy insane thing to ever even consider.

To buy some money or to glitch millions (or be gifted it) for free. Tough choice that Rockstar, tough choice........

I'd recommend that the community uses a variety of the glitches available instead of paying Rockstar for their bad practices.
