And what does Rockstar do? Offers it for a few seconds in a mission, and then shoots it down so you can never use it in free roam.

 

So, Cargo Plane debate thread: Is anyone as pissed for not getting this plane available normally? Do you want it in a patch or similar?

So i modded my savegame and here it is dwarfing that 747 just like IRL, Antanov AN-124 'with b52 bomber ish engines'

 

Also flies a lot better because of bigger wings, engines and empty cargo bay.

 

I researched how to mod the savegame only because of this plane, felt like a little kid getting its present when i first got to fly it LMAO.

 

 

 

 

 

Made a vid about it landing at McKenzie Field 'which was supposed to be the goal for the mission'

 

I hope its available for everybody some time.. however i don't think it will be this exact plane. The interior is so complex that when you crash it, it lags the game a lot.

 

Oh and yes the part of the cargo loading bay is still wrecked thanks to Trevor.

. Yes the cargo bay is something you can enter. In fact, even the front can be opend up.

Not pissed, but its disappointing. Being able to haul cars in it and drive the cars out of the back would've been one of those things that could've greatly extended this games life.

You can do that with the Titan only, IF you can get into another player's cargobay and menage not to fall out while he takes off lol.

Another little something:

 

To get into the cargo bay, just press /\ to exit the plane, and at the same time tap X and push your stick to the left.

 

To open the front bay, you might wanna try a sticky bomb while in the plane 'won't kill you but will most likely explode the plane' Or use a vehicle on the outside and push it upen.

 

4/5 times it will explode, I've had only 1 time when it didn't explode while opening the front cargobay lol.

UPDATE!

To you and others i've helped out,

 

To fix the tail section, steal a militairy tank 'NOT the spawnable 1' but the one with all the panals on it/machinegun.

 

Go to the landing strip & quicksave

 

change current vehicle from Rhino to Cargoplane with 1.07.2

Dwafing the 747:

 

PS just to check if the plane is stong enough to never explode when landing correctly, took of and landed 5 times in a row without a problem, made 2 flying hours and the plane really looked dirty after that lol.

How do you change the livery of the Cargo Plane?

With the Garage editor 1.08 if you spawn the plane with the back side missing.

 

However you cannot use the editor to edit the collors with the 1.7.2 version so that will have to be done in HEX to recollor the full tailed one. I don't exactly know where the collor code is set, and i'm happy with the plain white Antonov as the real ones are mostly white/gray ish to.
