The Spambots issue...

I'm gonna be short: lately, I've noticed that the amount of daily spambots has increased, I guess as consequence of the release of GTA V, so is there any way to stop it?

I locked this thread this morning in the GTA V forum and banned the member. It looked like it had been left for a couple of hours, but what people don't seem to realise is by responding it's contributing spam itself. I wish people would use their common sense, report and move instead of replying to sh*t like that.

 

Yes I understand there are still gaps where moderators aren't on or are busy dealing with other matters, but unfortunately there's no real way to stop spambots. It would however be more helpful to us if people ignore the threads rather than post in them.

I have the years to say otherwise. We used to be bombarded with spam accounts for Nike shoes to Woman's clothing.

Not really, we're just getting used to the system, so they get noticed a lot more now.
