how many different vehicles classes do i need ?

I've just bought the 23k apartment on alta street with the ten car garage, now I want to participate In more races but I want to use a custom vehicle for each one and I've already got three spaces used, two sports and a muscle.

 

now i'm wondering how many more classes do I need to collect, do SUV's and Off-Road vehicles count as one etc.

You could host a race and count.
If you're just wanting to be ready for anything you get invited to, then don't worry about anything but super cars and motorcycles. It's very rare you'll find someone hosting something different.

If you're hosting, then you just pick whatever car you want.

If you still want a number, then how about 11. You need 11 different race cars to properly play this game. Thank you for asking us.

There are 10 classes of vehicles.

 

Super, sports, muscle, coupe, sedan, suv, compact, sports classic, motorcycle and off-road.

You're only gonna want to worry about 3 types of vehicles. Super, Sports and Motorcycles. After almost 200 races total, I've noticed that these 3 types of vehicles are what people choose most of the time. In my garage, I've used up 6 spaces, 3 of which are for my race vehicles - Elegy RH8, Akuma and Vacca.

The times when a race comes down only to the choice of car, if they are top cars in a class fully upgraded, seems rare to me.

I have one vehicle in each class. When I didn't I was very frustrated when a custom race came up in a class I didn't have a custom vehicle in.

Also, when I did have multiple cars in the same class I would 95% of the time choose the same car anyway.

thanks for the replies, I guess i'll just save up and buy a nice sports car then, the Elegy is nice but i'd rather have an Adder...or a decom'd JB700 ^_^

If you're going to buy a nice supercar, you're gonna want to come prepared with 2. One that's handling is perfect/awesome, and one that doesn't have "sensitive" handling or a car that has high top speed, but low handling.

 

Reasons:

You'll need a car with good handling for races with sharp turns or 90 degree turns (like Downtown Underground). For these, Cheetah and Entity XF are great buys.

 

You'll also need a car that sacrifices handling for speed for races that don't have as many turns and more straight aways. (like that Airport runway race and Criminal Records). For these, the Adder is a great car.

 

I personally love my Vacca cause it's got nice looks and stuff, and it's good in races where I feel that everyone else will just hit each other...I'll just cruise myself to the finish line lol.

You need at least one car per class that you race.Based on the percentage of the time you spend racing in that class you determine if you want two that excel in different areas... I used my RH8 for a long time (then I found the money trick and bought my Coquette, then my Entity and wtf ever else I wanted and now racing is REALLY fun lmao )
