It made perfect sense to have the Flamethrower Guy (Doof Warrior) because Mad Max as a series is supposed to be over the top and have little substance to it, just like the Wasteland itself. Doof is the "Drummer Boy" - he keeps the pace of the drivers with his guitar. During Wars, there used to be a soldier who'd be assigned to play music, either drums or bagpipes, - not only to hype the other soldiers up - but to keep the pace of the marching. That's what Doof is doing, the faster he plays the faster they drive and vice versa. The guitar makes sense too since you have these loud cars driving together and you'd need an instrument loud enough for people to hear it, and if you look at live concerts - specifallly metal and rock - you'd see that guitar playing hypes people up immensely.

Mad Max as a series is supposed to make little sense, you're not supposed to over think it since there's very little substance. Like Max in Fury Road, you're along with the ride so to speak.

There is a decent amount of character development in the midst of all the action in Fury Road. What I like about it is how a lot of it is told visually rather than having characters spell things out. But yeah it's meant to be really ridiculous and that's what's so fun about it. The action is also just so well executed that it doesn't feel too repetitive for me even though it's most of the movie's running time.

Went to watch Movie 43 during the midnight screening

People kept leaving and not coming back throughout the movie

My squad and 1 other dude were the only ones who sat through the entire movie

It wasn't entirely bad, it certainly wasn't worth price of admission but seeing where people drew the line and left was pretty interesting.

Unfriended.

Basically watched a skype call through the whole f*ckin movie. Wasn't even scary. lol

DLNOW_Unfriended_Thumbnail.jpg

I'm surprised it even had a budget of $1million. There was nothing to it.

Hell, even the Gallows had a $100,000 budget and was a better movie(not saying much). Then again, Blumhouse productions gave us some low budget movies.

Insidious.

Another one from Blumhouse.

So, probably was a terrible movie. lol

Can't hate on it, though. Paranormal Activity had a budget of $15k and grossed $194million worldwide, making it the biggest returning investment movie of all time. Just edging out the Blaire Witch Project by a couple percent.

All of their movies are under $10million budget, but they make that back within the first weekend. lol

The Walking Deceased is pretty horrible. I knew it would be reading reviews, but I watched it more out of curiosity than anything and yeah it was pretty bad.

Not funny at all.

I liked Unfriended when i first read about it and it said it was a found footage movie i was like oh great i really don't like found footage movies especially the Paranormal Activity movies, unlike the PA movies which have you watching an empty room for what feels like up to 10 minutes at a time before anything happens and then there are the scenes where the characters are winding back through the recorded footage, Unfriended keeps things moving along which is good as the viewer isn't left feeling bored while waiting for something to happen.

The only found footage movie i ever really liked is The Blair Witch Project, every other found footage movie that came out after it sucked apart from The 4th Kind that was ok and the scene with the owl creeped me out

Kung Pow Enter The Fist all the best parts were in the trailer

Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory Johnny Depp's version

The Simpsons Lionel Hutz shudder

Eden Lake.

Acting is good. But the rest is bad because it has no point. You keep waiting for something good to happen but it doesnt. It keeps getting gradually worse. You are having a horrible uneasy feeling the whole time you are watching and the ending makes you feel 10x more worse.

The Witch. I took my girlfriend to go see it hoping it would be a scary movie that required some thinking kinda like Insidious and The Ring, but it was honestly so boring we couldn't sit through the whole thing.

In my honest opinion, there's been quite a bit of them. The two worst are The Emoji Movie and My Little Pony: The Movie. Other movies that suck big time include Over the Hedge, Open Season, Alpha and Omega, Barnyard, The Nut Job, Free Birds, and The Ant Bully. They all feel more like crappy tech demos as opposed to actual movies. Norm of the North, Bio-Dome, and Furry Vengeance are up there too in terrible movies!

Yeah, that film made me feel really uncomfortable, but I was at least hoping for some sort of redemption towards the end. No such luck, sadly.

And nice to see this thread of mine is still going. Keep the talk about sh*tty movies coming people.

eXistenZ (1999) is one of the worst films I ever saw. Horrible in every way possible (except the practical effects, which are really good). The only good thing it has is that it's so unique at how bad it is. It's not even The Room kinda bad. It's something else entirely.

I might get sh*t for this but I seriously can't get through Lincoln. It's pacing can only be described as a long crawl.

Pretend for a second that you are Whoopi Goldberg. You're one of the brightest stars in 1990s Hollywood, you've won an Oscar for Ghost and achieved widespread acclaim for your role in Sister Act. Even in an industry still dominated by the likes of Stallone and Schwarzenegger, you've carved yourself out a niche as a bankable star in your own right.

Then, the phone rings. There's a new project for you. Something about dinosaurs. Well, Jurassic Park was two years ago, so maybe you can bank on that craze and make another hit...

51Z75H2JK8L._SY445_.jpg

Oh, did I not mention that the dinosuar talked? And solved crimes? And had a little costume montage where he tried on all these cute outfits?

Well, apparently no one mentioned that to poor old Whoopi, either, because she refused to publicise this $33,000,000 turd in any way whatsoever.

What the f*ck? I remember me and my best friend sat through that trainwreck a while back for sh*ts and giggles, in which we decided to drop shots every time Rex knocked something over with his tail. For f*ck's sake, I don't even remember how it ended because we were THAT wrecked.

I even wrote up a review of it at the time, because I cannot just sit through something like that and let it go unscathed.

Hmmm nice bike

Home Alone 4: a complete disgrace to a beloved series. So much so that Daniel Stern (one of the original actors from the first two) actually called it "an insult" and "total garbage" after declining to reprise his role as Marv. Good for him, too, because this movie was embarrassing. Also, they didn't dare ask Joe Pesci to come back.

It was made-for-TV, and I still remember when it first aired back when I was a kid. Even back then, I was confused as to why they'd suddenly make another Home Alone and use the exact characters from the first two but give them completely different actors. Nothing about this movie made sense. Apparently, the original goal in mind for this movie was to turn it into a TV series and several of the actors had clauses in their contracts to return if it got picked up as a series, but good luck shopping that around as a pilot.
