I use the mic sometimes if needed and If i hear the guys I`m playing with don`t sound like little girls at a slumber party but I mostly just leave it plugged in so I don`t have to hear the terrible high pitched ear shattering screams of 5 eight year olds all seemingly playing with their dicks until they hurt all while seeing who can shriek the loudest, really grinds my tits.

Classy people don't use mics with the little public dredges of society. Nearly everybody using a mic is some obnoxious ghetto bastard or some spastic acne faced teen with a skinny stache. I only speak with people I deem worthy.

I have a mic but I don't always put it on. I mostly only talk during missions. I don't like to chit chat with strangers in lobbies and such. I used to have Xbox Live friends who added me to play GTAO but ended up deleting them because everytime I would log on they would invite me to do something I didn't like, talk about sh*tty music or other sh*tty activities.

I'm a loner by nature so I only talk when it matters.

I would like to know if the majority of people use a mic or not when they play online.

It seems like very few people play with a mic online, and that's annoying. I wish they had a setting so the game would only put me with players that have a mic.

People without mics are a real annoyance if you are doing a mission or something with them. It just guarantees that there will be little to no teamwork. If you don't play with a mic, start playing with one so we can actually cooperate and get things done.

In a beautiful world where all gamers were mature sensible human beings maybe...but unfortunately some people's experiences put them off of constant mic use, especially with strangers. In theory mic use should be fun and you're right it does help with teamwork. I had some really fun times with previous friends (note the word 'previous') on mics in the past but now I hardly use it. Today for example I got the mic out because one of my friends was on at the same time, but it just sat next to me. I never put it on because we didn't get to play together and I wasn't interested in letting strangers hear my voice. Sometimes it's also good ol' fashioned shyness. I feel shy talking on mics to people I've just added as friends. But especially when you're a female having a mic can add a lot of unnecessary drama to your life.

How is gaming with a mic a source of life drama?

Did you meet many of your boyfriends on Xbox Live?

I normally join a party with my friends or very rarely I'll be in game chat because my friend and I are too lazy to start a party.

I use mic. I use the official ps3 headphone/ mic bundle. My wife used to complain over the sound of the tv so the bundle works great.

You can go into the options on. Gta o and turn off the ability to hear other players and also the option so you can only talk and hear friends/crew.

In an open lobby only to tell everyone online I have a small penis and generally say stupid sh*t.

With friends I use one.

I use Skype when I play with friends so that we can talk without dealing with any outside people butting in. Other than that, I'm silent.

There's a setting in the same menu area that your inventory is, I think the lingo may be "pause menu"? There you can set your chat to everyone or only crew/friends.

I had mine set to crew/friends for a long time without knowing it, and wondered why so few people have mics... haha.

I was on last night and some guy was blabbering on his mic for no reason, so I took the excuse to kill him a few times.

I always have it on, but sometimes i dont speak, mostly when im playing/beating on Americans, and as a Brit i get alot of discrimination purely for that fact, so I kinda judge peoples racism before I talk haha happens way to often with yanks that seem to think their country is the best..

You do realize British is not a race! and Canadian, Mexican etc... are all Americans.

Only use it with friends, or people I perceive as worthy. I don`t bond very well and I have a very short fuse for idiocy. I`d rather not give anyone the opportunity to be an idiot - silence usually brings silence even from a mic user, so all is well.

I use my mic regularly and try to avoid Party if at all possible unless we're in a Team Death Match.

Unfortunately with public lobbies, I've all but written off anyway, the mic option is pretty much no because you will get someone who is loud or rude or whatever.

In game chats there much better potential for conversation, but I find most people won't turn on the mic until well into the game, which means you're effectively talking to yourself to try it out and it's no guarantee you'll get a good group.

When I am in a Crew I find that they usually go to a Party chat out of habit.

So I can definitely understand everyone's difficulty in having a normal conversation.

I always wear my headset (all audio through headset, not tv) but I usually keep it on mute (I don't want everyone in session to hear every cough and throat clear I do) I'll unmute to respond to someone or if I am in a mission or with my friends.

There's a difference between playing with someone who doesn't have a mic, and playing with someone who doesn't have a mic that's f*cking retarded.

I know it's kinda late to respond to OP, lol but just sayin'.

I can't use a mic; I'm a mute. But my friends understand my limitations and I still listen to them in party chat and message responses. In missions and such, I'm pretty much in a support role- they let me know where I need to be, and I execute. Not only for this but other games too, like Halo and World of Tanks.

I relished the days of Halo Reach when we'd be in gamechat with a group of randoms doing CTF and our team would be screwing around and suddenly hear "Enemy Flag Captured" and nobody but my friends would know what happened lol.

I'll use it once in a while as when I do use it I hardly say anything as I'm so use to playing games with me being silent that talking while playing just feels a little unnatural for me.

I gave up on that funny record when Wanes boosted to the top. Seems someone finally modded it though.

I still can't believe he did that sh*t, lol.

It's not very hard. You get one private dance point for 3 button presses. It ticks every time you press left D-pad to get a dance so just accept dance, press Y for her to stop then get up and repeat.
