How to deal with tanks?

i haven't tried it yet because somehow i haven't seen a single tank yet, but appearently you can snipe them by aiming for the edge of the lid where the character enters the tank, and shooting just when you see his name pop up or something like that.. i also suggest going off the radar and throwing stickybombs at it

It takes 4 sticky bombs on the back (don't know if it works on any side, only tested on the back) to blow it up.

Except that some tank users have gotten wise to this and will jump out at the last second.

 

Sniping them seems to be pretty effective.

I've noticed a lot of people just target tanks whether or not the tanks target them or not. I was chilling in my tank while I was away from the PS3. When I come back there are three dudes swarming around trying to take me out. I wouldn't have messed with them otherwise. Try ramming your car; there is a strategy to render that useless so I won't be getting BS, but nice try. Best thing to do is just avoid the damn things. They aren't especially good at catching anyhing other than a dump truck.

thats genius. i have actually only seen one tank online and he wasnt even attacking players really. but if i see an evil kid in a tank this will happen.

If it's someone who's used tanks in games like Battlefield, you'll never be able to reach them with C4, not even off the radar. RPG works well. Already destroyed a couple of tanks with it. Remember that the back and sides are the weaker points of the tank, the back being the weakest.

You can always just drive your personal vehicles into them... eventually they'll stop if they don't want to end up in the bad sport server.

Drive up in your personal car and toss c4 on them, if they kill you, go get another personal car. Repeat until they are bad sport.

 

Problem solved for a longer time than actually blowing it up.

 

Alternately, throw a bunch of c4 on your cars front and and set them off as you make contact with the tank.

One last time....running your personal vehicle into a stationary tank will not give the driver bad sport. This is why if I'm in my tank I don't move. Blow me up with whatever you've got...I couldn't care less...you're forking out the 19K not me. I'll just respawn in passive mode, call the mechanic, and be back to watching you try to kill me because you're jealous I have a tank while laughing my nuts off...

Thats not true coz i threw 4 c4's on a tank last night n it blew up!maybe it was the location i threw em or something i dunno but they definatly can blow up from them

Just leave them alone. If you drive away from a tank and if your car is good enough to the point that the tank can't catch up, then the tank is nothing but a crying troll. Basically, don't feed the troll.

I usually just use my grenade launcher. If I'm out I just drive a fire truck directly at the and they usually blow the FT & themselves up.

Then explain why everytime I drive my POV into a tank they pay my insurance fee. That means they are getting a bad sport warning.
