Seriously though, the difference between the top 5 vehicles from Broughy1322's testing is so minimal it is more up to the driver's preference. I prefer the Jester Racecar for most situations, because it suits my driving style. Pick the one among the Elegy/Jester/Massacro/Felzer that feels most natural and intuitive for you and stick with it so you get to learn its capabilities.

Style wise it's obviously subjective but performance wise it is behind vehicles on a track that cost a Quarter of It's asking price...so overpriced.

 

Also carbonizzare isn't competitive unless it's racing people that are crap

Carbonizarre is great for free roam, like the Comet - the twitchy, oversteery cars are awesome for darting in and out of tight situations. On the track however the mild understeer of something like the Massacro seems more beneficial for taking the smooth racing line.

 

In my experience the best around a track, for all situations is the Jester Racecar, it's simply the best all-round racer, others will beat it in some areas but it's very good in every respect.

 

Top speed is completely irrelevant unless you're racing Route 68 or the like.

That's why I Love The Sports cars class, The class is soo well balanced you have a chance of winning most of races with any car. I can, for example, smoke Carbonizzares and Massacros with my Coquette. It's good that the inclusion of race cars in the class didn't messed up with the balance.

Adder is a super.

 

My money's on the Massacro Racecar any day. The Cabonizarre I love to bits but I wouldn't back it against the mighty Massacro Racecar. I used to favour the Jester Racecar, but get better times in the Massacro. Nothing can touch it when you've good, closely matched drivers racing.

I've said this before but there is always some know it all that will insist that the Elegy is still the best sports car. My personal experience I think the Massacro is the best sports car but a track with lots of turns the Elegy is probably the go to vehicle. But about 80% of the people in gta sucks at driving anyways so I think any car can win in the sports given the right circumstances.

the comet is the developers favourite. the PORSCHE is an affordable descent sportcar with unique elements. mainly AFFORDABLE and therefore often bought by managment. u wont see a rockstar ceo driving a ferrari or lamborghini. but a porsche!

 

given that, they tried to make der beloved car one of the best in the game, but hard to handle, so only the "top of the top" will be able to get all out of the car.

 

just like the banshee (the #1 since GTA1). it has a satisfying handling and can beat every other car, but only when u double clutch it in every situation.

 

i believe every hard-to-handle-car is better than those ugly nonbrainers if u know how to drive it.

Nope I had a bounty once and my 9F Cabrio had all the best engine upgrade and there was someone chasing me along the freeways in a Zentorno.

 

They nearly caught up with me, but every so often I would change side of the freeway to elude them.

 

I do realise so other factors could of come into play. Ie, luck, the Zentorno was unmodded etc.

So for the guys who have tested lap times, whats the actual fastest sports car? Cuz my comet is lightning in a bottle.

If i keep it on the road n headed in right direction, i can wax carbos n coquettes n elegys.

Very risk/reward kinda car but man it flies.

The Banshee is the technical fastest if you learn how to double clutch. This video explains it and you'll see that if you master the double clutch in and out of turns it becomes a car that can take on supers.
