can anyone help ive got one mission with franklin a green f at his safehouse in vinewood hills but when i go there it doesnt start, when i phone trevor or michael they say youve got business to deal with, last mission i did was legal trouble, anybody know what i need to do?

Exactly the same as me, I've tried everything, gone with each character, obviously it says "Return as Franklin to start this mission" but nothing works. Must be a glitch in the game & will need an update to fix it.. I'm 71% through, I'm not starting again :|

I've done loads of side missions/street races/parachuting & tried again, nothing works & the same issue when I phone either Trevor/Michael.

 

Will be contacting Rockstar if nothing fixes this to ask for my money back, although maybe somebody can shed some light.

It's definitely just franklins mission available? Does Michael have any missions with Solomon to do?

nope ive done the missions with solomon just got the franklin one

do a side mission [any]. i was at a mission where it just wouldnt start. so i did a side mission [any character] then saved game. then i returned to the mission i wanted to do and it worked.!!

Tried that, I've played loads of side missions.. The problem is that the F is there meaning the mission is available to play & that's clarified by visiting that same F with Michael/Trevor & it says "Return as Franklin to start this mission"..

 

Has to be a bug in the game, I've tried everything.

It looks to me like the mission that is not starting is "Lamar Down"-- I can't find any other missions that start at his house at that point in the story-- I did that mission 3 after Legal trouble-- Maybe try calling Tanisha (or whatever Franklins ex girlfriends name is)-- although I don't recall that being necessary to trigger that mission-- perhaps a time of day thing?

Yeah, by the sounds of it Lamar Down is the next mission.

 

Have you tried taking the cab ride and skipping the journey (forcing a load screen)? The other trick is to load your most recent save, quick save and then loading the quick save. If these dont work I think you may have to go back to an older save point and progress from there.

ACTUALLY THE CAB HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MISSION AT ALL. ITS A WAITING GAME. YOU HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE PHONE CALL AND THEN CONTINUE ON WITH THE MISSION.

Have you tried taking the cab ride and skipping the journey (forcing a load screen)? The other trick is to load your most recent save, quick save and then loading the quick save. If these dont work I think you may have to go back to an older save point and progress from there.

I honestly don't recall there being a phone call to start "Lamar Down"-- Franklin calls Lester after the mission starts.

 

The cab skip thing is a trick to force a reload in a new area so that the mission start spawn appears-- this was a trick for a Michael mission (Minor Turbulence) that would not start for some people (very similar problem)--

I had the same problem but THIS IS WHAT WORKED FOR ME!  I tried everything but finally I switched to Franklin and got in a cab and had the cab driver take me to Franklin's house in Vinewood Hills.  Once I was there I went in and watch TV for about 5 min.  Than I got up and walk over to the teliscope and it kicked off the mission.  His old girl Tanisha than came to the door and the cut scene began.  The map light up and sent me to Sawmill creek. Just give it some time once you are in his house.  Drink, smoke, play with the dog but dont pick up the phone.  Just hang out and than go to the teliscope.  That is actually right where the green F is (not downstairs as it looks on the map).

YOOOOOO dude this worked! Watched some TV for like 10 minutes, started to walk up to the telescope and Tanisha showed up! You might not even have to watch TV or something, just go straight to the telescope.
