GTA race, planting stickies before start

Just had a GTA race in down the drain, there was three of us and the weird thing was one of the guy was able to throw stickies bomb before we even started, so I had one right dropped right in front of me during the count... i manage to dodge it by reversing as soon as I can but didn't know that was even possible

This is certainly something that needs to be addressed ASAP: when I see "WEAPONS ENABLED" in big block letters 5 seconds into the race, I assume this should also include stickies.

This happened to me during a bicycle race. We were all waiting for the countdown and you see this guy in the corner of the screen awkwardly inching forward in his bike.

I've done this before. However, I was only able to throw one. I think if you prepare the weapon for the race as sticky bombs then hold down the aim button before the race starts, it will automatically break the window and your character will be prepared to throw. According to this, you have one guy to take down so choose wisely

this would be hell on narrow maps

I do remember there being this glitch in SP that let you start early

perhaps they're doing something similar
