Rage is a hella fast racer,,,not sure if he's on the GTAforums otherwise he would definitely be on the list...

 

Id like to see grndzero get on there as well, his race tips were spot on and i was gutted i couldn't race him due to console constraints but it would be good to get some more Xbox based activity goin on in the thread...

 

also (not that i mind the free bumps) but event discussion for RRR1 should really be on the RRR Events thread. I wouldnt want this thread to appear to be a RRR1 back patting exercise... all crews are welcome to and eligible to become "approved" racers (in fact its easier to get your crew members involved in the thread as you will likely have raced together regularly) and jsut trying to ensure both threads remain on topic so those who follow the RR! Events thread arent missing out on discussion here, and those who follow this thread dont feel its all PS3 RRR1 based

@Cuz05 ... how did you find it... i think T0lly logged in jsut after i left last night, I hit a good few races with rage and learnt some new lines on the tracks we ran, somehow that guy can spin out twice and still retian a heavy lead on me, and im not exactly a green racer, got my fair share of wins under my belt (240:280 win to loss ratio)

 

 

Rage is on another level, the guy is scarily good.

@Ryan - yup,, damn guy caught up with me from a 30 second lead and came from 7th to 2nd in no time at all... id spent longer battling for second than it took him to gain 5 places through the pack...

I wish R* would make it so you could assign each character to a different crew for ease.

I was actually about to ask that. I was thinking of making a second character to keep active on a different crew but your saying it doesnt work like that? Both characters are on the same social club account i guess huh.

yes, but when you switch character you get booted from the session anyway... personally i find the easist way to to go back into story mode, from your online menu change your active crew... then select your character...

 

eventually i would like to have 1 character for mainly LTHM and one character mainly for Red Rum Racing, but i need to bring both characters to reasonable parity to do that....

 

although a thought just occurred... there's 3 locked character slots.... and 2 active slots...

 

we can all be in "upto" 5 different crews... 5 crew... 5 characters... surely thats not a co-incidence??

There has speculation about what the 3 locked slots where meant for.

 

Way I see it, is your characters are able to live in different places, different cars, etc. Should be able to have each character on a different crew.

It was good fun but no more than a taster really, Rage and I were on our own half the time tho we had a 4 player race with a couple of (toasted ) randoms and a couple with Tolly and KxK (girl needs to put some clothes on...).

Rage pretty much smoked me but given what's been said about him, I'm very pleased to say I got a couple of wins and didn't do too bad, abysmal driver errors aside. Admittedly, one of them was down to a vehicular gulf in class, my Elegy was so much faster than his Sultan I really only had to keep it vaguely on track to win, we both span off once and that was that.

Cutting Coroners with the 2 randoms tho, managed to keep enough pressure on him to force a couple of mistakes, the 2nd was near enough the finish for me to make it in 1st. Have to say that I crashed into him both times, he went way wide and came back on right in my path, did my best to miss him but had to settle for applying the brakes and trying not to spin him out or capitalise too much on the collision. Actually tried to straighten him up the 2nd time, lol.

We did also do a survival when no decent races came up, that was great, I not done many but I've not passed one before, let alone not died. Also nice to see Criminal Records get zero votes....

 

That's a cracking win ratio btw. Checked mine last night and I sold myself a bit short with 1:3, I'm on about 95-225. I do wonder what it would be like if most of my races didn't have my brother in them. He must be around 1:1, he's a machine, I rely on him making mistakes to beat him and he doesn't make nearly as many as I do.... I'm like an intuitive genius... half brilliant, half appalling... corner by corner...

 

I've linked him to the thread and told him all about it, he said he'd join up, Gills247 if you see him about. He's not much of a poster but he'll browse a bit. We're almost always on together so it's likely you'll get 2 for 1. Other racer in the crew, Bobchilli, said he'd come along too so he'll probably join some races representing our O30S crew.

 

Interesting about multiple crews. I have a 2nd character but she ( ) is only lvl 19, made her to get the cargobob back in our lives. I'll never get the wins or ranks on that side to make racing much of a hobby (don't even want to buy her a garage) so I'll always come over to RRR1 with my main. I can't be doing with multiple crew/character objectives, not much of a multi-tasker....

My usual race tactic with rage is to keep the pressure on him, hes a damn fine racer (not sure if Hes active on the forums) so losin to him is no biggie and winnin is a creditable feat... Usually caused by him makon a (infrequent) mistake

 

My race stats wpuld be better if I dodnt purposefully lose sometime (usually bet repated when I get more cash for second + bet wins.... Ryan... Lookin at you..., or if im helpin lower lvl member rank up) ut shoild be abput 1:1 by now lol

 

Dont think ive raced with kxk yet, but ill definately try to soon

The 2 races with the 4 of us were eventful. KxK won on the bikes in Quick Getaway but that was a total crash fest and was really just down to who fell off least.

In the other, I forget the course, it was new on me. Half tarmac/half dirt, was a good one. Rage won, naturally, KxK was neck and neck with Tolly all the way round, not far behind. Don't remember who came in 2nd. Never saw his W:L but it was a tricky track so he must be pretty good.

I did my usual thing, decently 1st for a lap or so, then 2nd, attempted a risky (some might say stupid) overtake, span out and completed the last lap in a distant 4th...

Was a great 1st couple of laps actually, all really close together and respecting each others space. Till I nearly wrecked everyone... ahem....

*edit- I built a playlist a couple weeks ago myself. Have you noticed anything buggy about the playlists? There was twice someone would actually be on a different circuit while the other racers would be on the correct one. Eventually we had to dashboard it since it would not see someone finishing and it would just sit at the first vote screen.

That happens to me pretty often. I believe that playlists are bugged.

I know me, T0lly and Calebxx12 did some racing this evening.

 

Couple of impromptus in our Biftas, stunts and gymkhana drifting at the airport, and an 10 lap endurance race around the airport.

Slightly off topic, but is it possible (and maybe in our benefit) to just have one racing crew? I thought I read somewhere that you can have PS3 & XBOX players both in the same crew and you can all earn rep towards that one crew and view stats.

Its an issue i have been thinking about as well...but who wants to give up thier crews lol. Also i believe i heard you cant compare across platforms.

It is true, in one sitting, you can not compare stats. You can from what I understand use the System drop down and look at other players stats in this way.

I think Apex Stalkers was one of the largest Crews that I have seen specific to racing, last I checked they had over 100+ members, "mostly" ps3 but some xboxers in there. I do not know anyone in that Crew though.

 

*Edit- I agree with you Luap, most people will be kind of edgy about leaving a Crew they put some time into. I have over 85 levels of RP in mine currently plus both chars are in it so I have over 1mil rep in it. With being 99 currently it is going to take a long time to make some of those levels back if I were to switch active crew now with they have been gimping the RP for jobs.

My original crew just had myself and my roommate in it...i was rank 150 in it. When i started over and created CLAW recently. Damn near all of my current members are already in RRR1.

 

Im thinking we all might benefit if we consolidate.
