I am also looking at staring up an online championship (check my thread http://gtaforums.com/topic/676984-online-grand-prix-racing-championship/) and would like to extend my invitation to any of the approved racers on here, you are more than welcome to join, contribute.

 

I raced with a couple of guys from the forum last night and they were great, but I'm just fed up of some randoms just ruining everyone else, fun, e.g. driver can't race for sh*t and decides to go the wrong way round the track. Really grinds my gears that does!

 

 

well you may have found the right thread bazzy,,

 

id suggest approacing it one of two ways...

 

firsty you can emssage/add some of the guys already on here for races, let them know you want to be an approved racrs and its likely thewy will vote for you... or... check the last two pages, find the guys who also want to be approved and race with them, that way you can "vet" each other for approval... the second way might be better as there are a few guys eagerly chomping at the bit to get approved

 

the whole idea of the thread is to have the community here on GTAF approve each other by peer review, i.e you race with them, approve of their conduct and place a vote... as everyone is equal (until proven otherwise) each vote has the same weight, 2 votes gets you "approved",,,, now all you need to do is get racing

The ones that always go the wrong way is still a bit easier to avoid, idk why but i'm having a hard time avoiding ass-rammers. As if they're not gay enough to keep touching my ass often lol

The occasional crash/incident and a bit of paint swapping is all fair game, but when people just ram you for the sake of it it does my head in

I never understand why two people racing side by side flat out is not enough of a rush without them having to spin you out mid way through

My crew is Pistonheads, but you have to be a member of their forum and be approved to join.

yea i tend to have a quick scan of "last online" in psn and we always seem to miss each other by about 30 -60 mins... damn our busy lives and schedules hahahaha...

 

of the one or two races we have run i would vouch for you, pretty sure i recall you leaving me for dust in one race hahaha,,,, i just tend to have a "personal rule" (not applicable to everyone so don't worry, its not a requirement) that i like to run between 5 and 10 races before making my votes on here

 

but i hope to be online for at least a little bit tonight, probably about 7pm gmt (is that 8 for you??)

 

but for anyone who might wana catch me your best bet is always sunday evening after 9pm (GMT).. pretty much my only guarenteed gaming evening rest of the time its a "when i can get on" situation lol

Yeah, it was a good playlist! I would've prefered a more tricky track then Route 68 in the end, but I won so would be a fool to complain really. :-)

 

I kept it clean as much as I could, there was an inevitable crash on just Route 68 where I smashed and Adder that right before me crashed into an NPC's car.

 

And I'm sorry that my crew mate joined in halfway in and we kind off took it away in Swedish, I hope you don't mind. I know it can be annoying..

He usually never races and can be a bit of a crasher, I tried to tell him but he didn't really care.

 

Anyway, I would be happy to race with you guys again and I hope you feel the same way.

i love the fact you and DJ are talking about 2 different playlists... but both ahd a good time, shows were still doing ti right

 

but you definitely get a vote from me dude, some precision driving from you and in the most part your clean because no-one can damn well catch you lol... my apologies about the weak finish in the playlist, i think i did mention at some point i made it ages ago and handt ran it for a good while (UGC getting in the way) so i couldnt remeber what was in it... i might switch that for something a bit more challenging like learning curve or dipping in.. or maybe next time we can run the playlist i did with DJ, thats a pretty intense one (about an hour solid driving..)

Short version... meet up with guys from the GTAF.. race with them.. dont smash n dash, destruction derby or generally be a douche, then get them to vote for you on this thread as an "Approved (i.e clean) Racer"... two votes gets you on the list

 

the idea of the list is to bring clean racers together for some competitive driving...

we all have those days buddy, think it was nearly midnight for me at the end, in honesty i forgot how long that playlist is, especially as some tracks are set to default of 4 laps and are 3 miles + in length lol

I'd like to get added to this list. The only time I run into folks or wreck them out is when they've done it to me before and would much rather race with folks who understand, "if you pass during a drift and I'm behind you, I'm going to do the same thing - please don't wipe me out..."

 

I'm getting a friend to join the forums and I'm sure he'd like to join to. His GT (XBOX) is Gale_Warwind. Mine is my user name here on the forums.

Interesting thread, I like to race clean and always love meeting people in races who do also. however I have a full friends list and quite often end up accident prone so I'm not sure I currently need to get approved right now. However feel free to race cleanly with me on PSN or maybe add me and race if you need some approval confirmation. Though being good in a few races to get approved doesn't seem like a big chore. No point in faking being a clean racer though!

 

I try my best to race clean quite often to my detriment as people often take advantage of that but I've gotten used to not spinning out most the time when I'm pitted. I do however use slip stream. I'm happy when the person I overtake uses my slipstream in return but often they want to be arseholes about it. Also find there isn't always space to race fully and make space for eachother which I take as clean. Accidents happen, unclean drivers to me are those that deliberately pitt and if that happens enough I do sometimes revenge pitt. I do bump from behind if it's the kindest thing to do or to avoid passing someone who is clearly into pitting. If there is someone stopped in the road I will avoid them or ocasionally hit the front to attempt to aid a turn to the right direction. All these things can be taken wrongly but that's not my problem! If there's a possible mid-air overlap ahead I don't avoid it as they're quite fun...
