FREE 500k WTF?

So I was playing online with my friend, and all of a sudden he gets 500k out of nowhere. Then I am like wtf? So I just join his game later and I see that I have 500k!? I don't think the new update came out yet so what could this be?

Its a new mission from R*...the first person to spend the whole 500k entirely on hookers gets to have an extra safe house....

They also said we'd get bote in october.Then they changed what they said. About both things. Oct was only ever 'hopefully', since we're talking about what was said, not what was imagined.

The first few days/weeks of release had quite a rocky start, with people losing characters, cars,(cloud-server problems etc), so now when it's more stabilized, they decided to send us a lil compensation :)
