Why do people still keep traffic on?

It's always so glitchy and doesn't make any sense. I consistently have cars sliding towards me, and intentionally hitting me head-on. Then, they disappear and don't effect anyone else. Just keep traffic off. The lag breaks it.

It's just for added challenege. Even I had a lot of really retarded experiences when it comes to pedestrians looking like the intentionally want to hit your or have a random car just appear in front of you and act like a mini road block. It's still pretty fun because it's adds a bit pf a challenge to just everday racing and could sometimes be the reason why you would win 1st place.

i kinda like a mixture of traffic on an traffic off, for the reason that it does add a random element and "street race" feel to doing laps...

So does getting PIT-ed or getting flipped. Traffic is actually a benefit to me for a few reasons:

1. Traffic actually helps with obstacles. Other players could crash into a car just driving around and get me ahead a couple of seconds. (It usually guarantees me a lead when I'm in first place.

2. It could potentially help me against douchebag players who just want to PIT me. Example: if I'm in 1st place and someone's catching up, I'd let him come around near me (like diagonal) and then squeeze myself in a tight space or near miss a car on his side so he gets hit.

3. Even though the pedestrians can be unpredictable, I always expect a random pedestrian driver in almost every area. So I tend to stay off the oncoming lane. Having Anticipation is actually the most important skill to help you win even when there's traffic.

For a race on a course like the commute its a must, it makes the race less predictable and adds another element to the race.

It normally weens out the lower skilled aggressive rammers to the back of the race.

i like to race with the traffic wanted levels and weapons on it makes the racing more of a entertaining challenge

Traffic being on is a defining feature of Racing in GTA, any race without it on is a race I leave (that and Catch-up being off are both deal-breakers for me). Just host races if you don't like other people's settings.
