Titan could be better?

I paid the $2m for the Titan last night. Instantly regretted it as I then found out it had no uses. On the plus side it looks cool as hell so that made me little happier.

 

I then found out you can open the rear door and put vehicles / other players inside. Now I'm thinking it's $2m well spent. So off I went to try it. Opening the rear door wasn't easy. Although after a while I perfected it. Was kind of in vain however as I realised other players don't see the door in the position that I do! In fact I think it's different for everyone looking.

Anyway, we managed to get a friends car in but it would just blow up once it rolled back and hit the rear door. Lame..

Potentially could be so much fun taking other vehicles as high as possible and letting them drive/jump out, but it's not really possible. Well it probably is but you have to be SUPER careful and know exactly what you're doing.

 

If only we had control over the rear door (L3 or something) and taking vehicles in was easy and possible. Some good fun to be had imo.

 

Anyone else bought the Titan?

My thoughts on the Titan? It's free at the airport.

 

If I was silly enough to buy this without knowing it spawned for free every game.... I'd probably be to ashame to tell you guys

I did find out afterwards it was free from the airport but never mind. It goes for all the helicopters and planes, why are they free? Kind of ruins the points of buying them.

 

My point still stands about making the Titan better :)

the titan is just underpowered, why would they let the back door open if the plane would end up exploding if you took off with a car inside?

and it can barely take a hit, the massive plane gets completely paralyzed with one explosion

You paid two millions dollars for a plane without having tried it out first.

You need to be able to drop cars out of the back....maybe even drop them with car parachutes on them.

I would totally need one of these if that was possible.

I'm thinking someday we might get our own Helipad for some properties...

 

Perhaps there are some houses beside airfields... I see alot of forclosure signs on real houses, I think they will be purchable in a few dozen years of updates.

 

The way the Pegassis works now... is total bullsh*t... it's just as embarassing to R* to have made such a sh*t system as it is for us to buy the dog food.

Yeah I thought of that. Why go through the bother of letting the rear door open but not have a use?

 

Before I found at good way of opening the rear door. I'd open it about 20% through punching it. Then I'd aim a gun on the inside of the door and shoot so it pushes the door down. Low and behold the plane got destroyed and engines were on fire :/

No, the Titan is modeled after the C-130.

 

The AC-130 is a modified C-130, and it would be absolutely retarded in this game.

I opened the rear door of the Titan. Had a friend drive his motorcycle in. I took off and flew about 4000ft up with him in the back. Then he rolled out the back and did about 11 backflips on the bike before hitting the water.

Well some of the "online" purchased vehicles seem to behave a little better. And I am actually surprised that you can put stuff inside because I assure you that my squad-mates and I have been trying to forever. But it was always with the "free ones". So I was wondering if the "purchased" one had some extra features.

Although the issues you brought up with cargo is concerning.

 

As far as it "always" spawning at the airport: Is there a location where it is certain to spawn, or do you guys refer to the spawn points for the "currently unlocked free vehicle" which relates directly to what level you currently are. I am only seeing the Stunt-Plane and Attack Buzzard at my current level. Haven't had the Titan in a while.

 

Don't worry about the purchase. Sometimes it's hard to tell the benefits. Besides, I am sure in the long run we'll all make millions... eventually.

There's a guy in the forums that's successfully gotten the Cargo Plane on Xbox (the one where you have to enter with Dom on ATVs in SP).

 

If only it were possibly for Pee Es Tree..

I believe the Titan always spawns inside the hanger for Titan of a Job at the airport past rank 30 something? Or at least I've always seen in there even on a high ranked character.

im level 70 and it seems to spawn at lsc airport everytime. over in the pegasus hangars area.

The Titan is great fun, we had 10+ formation flying over Trevors airfield in a crew night one evening, was brilliant!

You can put a vehicle in the back without it blowing up, if it has 100% armor and you keep driving it forward. I did that with Sultan. All wheels came off eventually at high altitude, but it didn't explode.

Will try it with a couple of my 100% armoured cars!

 

Like I say it is possible, but not easy! Should be made so it's easy to do. Would be much more fun!
