Chris223
Not even close, people are finally starting to wake up and looking for other games besides CoD that franchise is dead to me, Plus a game that was five years in the making is more worth buying than a rushed game that took a year to make A year? Try 2. They alternate developers. Infinity Ward, Treyarch, Infinity Ward, giving each developer 2 years to make the game. And just so all of you are aware - it shattered GTA V in sales. GTA V took 3 days to hit $1 billion, COD did that in 24 hours. I love how everyone ALWAYS spews this "CoD is getting stale, it's losing popularity" a week before the new one comes out - then the new ones SHATTERS the old one in sales. You might want to do some reading and edit your comment before someone kicks it in the teeth. Call of Duty ghosts did not make a billion on customer sales. Purely sales to retail, if Rockstar released their retail sales number in 24 hours, it would probably double that of what CoD is claiming. The 7 guiness world records still state GTA V and not Call of Duty ghosts, and there is no evidence for it changing any time soon. Use your brain before posting. I was going off the initial article I read. SO F--KING SHOOT ME! Point is... had new consoles also been available it would have taken the top spot. I am a GTA fan... but this is by far the worst GTA ever made, and the only saving grace is the online, and the only reason I continue to play it, and even that probably wont keep me entertained for that long. It's getting quite tiring to listen to people say CoD is getting stale and "wont last much longer" then I sign onto the miltiplayer and there's like 1.4 million people online at almost any time during the day. Go back to the CoD from 3 years ago and there's STILL around 200,000 people online. Edited November 8, 2013 by Chris223
ADropInTheOcean
"Call of Duty won't last long, Battlefield / Medal of Honor / Any other equally as generic FPS will defeat that horrible franchise!" - Says most people when a new CoD is announced. *sigh* I wish they were correct... Also, people are obviously going back to playing "good" CoD games, instead of buying the new ones.

Khaos89
It already did it made a billion in a day so thats less than the time that gta v made a billion $$&$$ in sales No.... thats the amount that has been sold to stores not to customers. Activision have finally admitted it's sold less than black ops 2 and their excuse is people will be waiting for next gen Sources: http://www.xbox360achievements.org/news/news-16598-Call-of-Duty--Ghosts-Sold-Less-Than-Black-Ops-II-at-Launch--Activision-Admits.html http://www.xbox360achievements.org/news/news-16587-Call-of-Duty--Ghosts-Generates-$1-Billion-in-Revenue-on-Day-One--Says-Activision.html Edited November 9, 2013 by Khaos89
Curlypyebs
Activision have SHIPPED a billion $ worth of COD Ghosts, meaning they have delivered that amount to stores around the world. The stores don't pay money for the games up front you's do know that right? its ticked on, ie credit. When a chain is struggling (like Blockbuster in the UK) the publishers refuse the games till they pay up front and that's how they go under. Activision haven't seen a penny from COD sales yet they just wanted that many copies in the shops so they had a chance to break the record

simonp92
Doubt it. Especially with all the issue of it. PS3, PS4 and XBOX One versions all have frame rate issues according to some reviewers.

s_aint
As popular as cod is... it doesn't have the same brand history and heritage as GTA. Gta has been around since DOS. But it might... there's more than enough people into point and shot that seems to be exactly the same as every other point and shoot game. GTA for me differs from it all because first of all, it's advertised around a story. It appeals to racers AND shooters, and has developed characters that are more interesting than generic military characters.
mrdiamond666
I havnt bought call of doodie since mw2, its all the same bs, gta gives you so many options of things to do. Imma say HELLS 2 THA NO!!!!
Phantum
The fact is, every year there is a new batch of 12 year olds who finally get permission from their moms to get the next CoD so therefore, the franchise will continue making money until everyone under the age of 17 either dies or opens their eyes. Tashan
Assume, COD Ghosts beats V In sales, SO WHAT? Those who buy COD they can also play V or they pick BF4 Also! Logically each game was sold according to what player picks not because a particular game release has stopped the player to buy any other game this year. If COD Ghosts does beat GTA V in sales, simply means there are more players wanting COD Than GTA V and secondly, due to wide console release. Hooves07
Played this last night...split screen against bots. We switched between fighting bots and fighting each other with bots as teammates. I had a blast. The main story is dumb as hell. I would probably buy this, but I would never go online to play, I don't care for the story, though some of the setpieces you run through are cool. I would mainly play this when friends were over split screen only.

I was burned like most by EA with their DLC bullsh*t for BF3...only to release a premium edition (cheaper) a month later during the last DLC drop. Mad_Maxine
I still disslike CoD, Thus I dont play it... or go to there forums to complain about it... But if it outsells GTA then, it wont affect my life at all, on another note, ford sell more cars than bently.
tymaster50
The people that think only 12 year olds play COD are pretty funny, I guess they think they're mature by playing GTA lol. Just about anyone can walk into a store and pick up a copy of GTA V, it's not a sophisticated game either. So drop the superiority complex

I feel like I have to mute randoms in both games just so I don't have to deal with some squeakers running me over with their chrome Adders / blocking me in corners with a riot shield or follow me and randomly shoot so they give away my location. They can repeatedly kill you yet if I blow up their cars I'm the bad guy....Bad Sport is an idiotic system. Idiots are everywhere in gaming, not just one game. Sad fact but it's true as long as adults buy these games for their kids. Hell even some adults act like man children. Some people never grow up.
