So I played GTAO the other night and quite frankly...I didn't have any fun with it at all. I never looked forward to it before the game came out, but it just seemed really boring to me. It felt really empty for some reason. I killed some people...did some missions...robbed stores...did one race and then just didn't see any reason to continue playing so I went back to SP. Am I the only one that enjoys the single player game better than online? Also, what do you guys do for fun in GTAO?

Lots of people enjoy strictly SP. MP is dominated only I'm certain genres. GTAs Elder Scrolls Splinter Cells etc etc are all games that the MP is optional abd not the selling point. If you want to repay campaign and enjoy the SP I'm pretty sure R* wouldn't be offended

Elder Scrolls had MP?

OP: The fun in online is playing with other people. Deliver cars to Simeon, rob armoured trucks, sell cars to LS Customs, play golf, tennis, darts, race, parachute, etc. Save up money for an apartment and super car. Upgrade, paint, collect vehicles. So many things to do.

Yeah but it will take more than an hour to be able to buy a 10 car garage, unlock vehicle mods, unlock weapons, get platinum awards, a super car etc, and then there's the other player interaction, bounty hunting, fighting bounty hunters, random pvp, co-op at the military base to steal tanks or jets. Really I could go on and on about all the stuff you can do.

I guess I've never really been a multiplayer type of gamer really. GTA has always been a selling point to me because of the story line and exploration. Never cared much for playing games with other people because I love doing my own thing in these games. And it's not like they are much different, I just had no reason to care about the character I made, and his silent quest for making money because he wanted to buy things. I guess playing with friends makes it more interesting but for some reason, having my own story in my head while I'm up to no good in single player is a lot more fun than running around and being up to no good in multiplayer. Didn't mean to bring about butt hurt from some people. "Wow he didn't have fun in multiplayer...what an asshole." This game isn't exactly CoD or Battlefield...multiplayer was an add-on for this game.

I was almost considering buying an XBOX ONE strictly for Elder Scrolls online in late 2014...but then I read it has a $15 monthly fee...on top of xbox live gold..thats nearly $250 a year to play the game + $60 to buy it..

never never in my life..never.

$15 a month is about tree fiddy a week. Hardly breaking the bank. It's a small price to pay for the servers, maintenance and continual development of what looks like could be the best MMORPG ever.

What can you do in SP that you can't do online is my question.

You can't race the blonde lady online.

Just going to +1 this, exploration value such as that really does increase playability.
