Trouble with stocks

I was interested in making the 2 billion dollars for my 2nd play through and was told to invest in betta pharmaceuticals before the 1st assassination (which I did) then sell it (which I did) then go all in on Bellikin(not sure on spelling but u know what I'm talking about) and to wait a couple in game days, well I've waited and waited and the stock won't go up to give me any profit, I'm just about to start the first Madrazo mission with Michael, does the stock go up after that?
