281.25 in the RE-7B thanks to Plummet of course. Catch a clean slipstream at the top of the steep plummet and thats what can happen. Without a slipstream I top out at 180 down the ramp.

So, what exactly is the speed cap online on CG. I remember on peasant gen its something like 170 or 180 I think. Can you hit 200mph without glitches on CG?

Just did the freeroam top speed challenge, 136.6 in the Tyrus and was tied with first and only had time to do a 2nd try and get a better time but first spot was quickly taken by 157.

Any ideas a car that goes that quick? He probably used a hill but that challenge usually voids itself when off the road. I see numbers higher than that in this thread but in lobbies I'm usually the one to win with my Hakuchou. I texted the guy asking which car he used and he replies with moped. I got one of those guys...so no luck in knowing.

Only a very slight gravity assist. The speed (which is what puts you in an orbit) comes from tons of nasty sh*t you burned on the way up

I've now beat my 230mph with a 232mph, also in a stock Tyrus on Plummet.

 

I think in the RE-7B I'm basically always in the lead after the second corner so never get to wind her up. The new Chiliad track has an even longer descent, will have to try to engineer being 5th or 6th heading into it. It's my new favourite bit of track in GTA.
