BarelyLegal
Hey guys, I was wondering what sort of techniques you use to approach other players without them feeling the need to kill you or run you down? I'm currently running around with a hammer (from the Special Edition) free from Ammunation, and I find it incredibly fun and hilarious to approach a player in a vehicle with my hammer unequipped. I calmly walk towards their vehicle, then when they think I'm friendly, I start smashing their windscreen with the hammer, denting their doors, for them to usually drive away in a state of shock xD To do this, I select the 'salute' emote, and walk towards them slowly with a weapon unequipped. I salute them when I'm nearby, and only recently discovered that you can hold a pose, as long as you keep the thumbsticks held-down. With the salute emote, your character keeps their hand to their head, giving off a calmer impression. If I'm in a vehicle, I honk my horn at them so they know I don't want to fight. Then when I get out the vehicle, I smash the hell out of their car! Sometimes I get killed in the process, but it's hilarious to see. How do you approach other players without getting killed? Andy_lattermen
next time you should pull them out and use the hammer, that would be much more entertaining!
seventhreeo
The salute thing would be good, sometimes I just honk my horn at people but they shoot me anyway. It's usually the Germans/French people, and they laugh at me too. So much for being nice, eh?
ROCKSTAR MANIC
^ there is no technique usually.. lobbies are filled up with 9yr old kids that think killing friendly people is some type of stress reliever. Never actually happen to me. There was this one time I had about 10 plus grand with me, not in my account. So I decided to deposit the cash in the atm. Suddenly!! out nowhere two uncivil jerks drive up from the alley near the atm and start blasting with an Smg and a AR . I never had the opportunity to deposit the money. I was like "sh*t not right now, Not right here!!". Crazy enough I had parked my Canis very close to the Atm. I guess instinct kicked in, I took cover not even thinking about it. sh*t.. bullets flying every where. my canis windows, tires, headlights, body work, all shot up. As soon as they started reloading their second round of used ammo. I thought about a sec that they were just 10 ft away from me. I took that advantage. I Took out the shotty (bullpup) and emptied the f*cking clip... Since then I know not to even Trust anybody. no matter what. friend or foe... el_mostito
The "get close and honk" technique works sometimes. But it usually ends in a drive-by or shoot out. I'm actually thinking of turning off auto-aim because of this. I sometimes get annoyed by people who are just out there to kill other players but OP, I like your style. Caligastia
Don't, just don't, I like many people on the forums have gotten used to the 1 Block radius rule, one block and stop, that little white blip arrow is in my direction, it's ON. Because I don't mind getting killed anymore now that the Dr. bills have been nerfed, I give people alot more lee-way, and usually won't attack unless someone kills me first, then I will stalk you to the ends of San Andreas. There is no universal approach method I am aware of, but if you are dead set, try unarmed, and be ready to be blasted.

WizardsSleeve
i like the The "get close and honk" technique, i pull up in my entity or something big n shiny, if they kill me ill watch them drive off in there cool new car and wait till there some ways into the mountain areas or driving fast past a bunch of people and then lock the car which ejects them from it leaving them to fend for themselves haha or if there being chased by the cops in my car locking it and ejecting them is also rather fun vw11

Let bygones be bygones or let's team up and have fun. I don't shoot and wait to see what's up. Try to communicate by walking unarmed and talking. Most want PvP; no worries. I don't kill when I have the chance as a token of friendship. However, if I'm proved to be wrong I enjoy the battle greatly even if I don't always win the war. Also I never trust two people in a vehicle. Haven't had one instance where they weren't creeping.
CorporalBean675
It's actually a 50/50 in my experience. Some people aren't dickheads, some people are. But as soon as they see a weapon in your arms (even if by accident) they shoot the living sh*t out o' yo ass. Also, rather than intimidating people with a hammer, I have this technique to start 1v1 Deathmatches and then I just run over them and a double kill xD. But hey, I have the right to do that because I've been killed sooo many times it's just too much to leave untouched.
