GTAO 2nd worst gaming community... ever.

Now don't get me wrong, the game is fun.. If you're playing by yourself or with friends. Now I have to say the focus here is in free mode and in races, I'm getting to a point where I don't even want to play the game anymore because most of the people I meet online are complete sh*t heads.

 

Lets start with free roam, You don't have to kill every person that you happen to pass by people, I can't even go to LA customs without some idiot camping the garage with explosives or something, and I know some of you are like "well why don't you just go to passive mode or a private match" well I'll tell you, passive mode does not protect you against explosives or being shot inside of a car, also, as soon as someone finds out you are in passive mode they just continuously run you over in a car because hey guess what, they can still kill you in passive mode. it's pretty much useless, also private matches are boring as hell. If you feel the need to repetitively murder people go to deathmatch, it's what it's there for, and you get money for it.

 

Now races. Now this excludes GTA races because killing each other is the point of those, but standard races are not meant to be demolition derby's, I don't understand why people feel the need to fishtail someone every time they are about to pass them or vice versa it's come to the point where races are entirely ruined for me, and half the time they spin themselves out as well so we both get put at the back of the pack because of stupidity. I actually had a race with someone where we were racing side by side and it was extremely close and entertaining, I actually thanked that dude via message because that's how rare it is.

 

I know that this post probably wont change anything, it's more of just a place to vent for me and maybe see what other peoples opinions are. anyways ya, oh and if you are wondering what the #1 worst gaming community is... It's Call of duty, duh.

I dunno dude, it is what you make it. If someone blows me up whilst I'm doing something innocently I'll give my mechanic a call to deliver the rhino, then spawn kill until they leave. It's actually a lot of fun haha, that's how I got like a 4kd, I trade my death for about 5 kills until they go passive and it's boring or they leave.

invite only session is a good option if your getting pissed off... then onyl you and friends are in the lobby..

 

as for racing theres a good few clean racers around on the GTAforums.... ive met up and raced wiht a good few of them and had some really good clean and close races.. also been in my fair share of destrction derby but if i dont like the gameplay i leave and join a different room... theres so many poeple online ive seen variations of every action, good or bad, happen in freemode sessions with randoms.,.. if it interupts my gameplay i find a new one.

I don't usually have enough friends online playing gta to have a decent session with, as for the lobby hopping, yeah I usually end up doing that, it's just frustrating to have to find a different lobby all the time I guess.

I agree with the OP, but ya just got to be aware of anybody within a block of you. If they are that close, inside your killbox, be ready to take them down, because 7/10 times they will try to kill you.

 

If peeps are camped at LS or Simons, I do not go there until they disperse or if I'm down to battle it out...or a nicely placed headshot with my sniper rifle from a block away is very effective as well.

 

The kids whom spree kill are mostly morons. They will come at you, frontal attack, every single time. So I get out of my car, duck behind a wall or my car, and popup when they come around the corner for me. It works pretty well and they eventually go away when you keep taking them out. Funny to watch them walk away, as I will usually let them do if they so choose, after they die 4-5 times.

 

It's fun, but you gotta be aware of what's going on within your immediate area at all times.

 

BTW: Maybe I missed it in the OP, but what is the #1 worst gaming community? GTAO is my first online experience, just curious what could be worse. I've always only played SP until now.

theres a good few players on these forums that are open to friend invites and can enjoy a good game,,, theres always that option to bulk out your friends list for invite only...

Yes i know exactly what you mean.

 

Its almost impossible to stay in frre mode without beign "alerted". Its kinda like stayin' in the jungle, where everyone can be your fatal enemy.

 

Even when i try to roleplay(somehow) to get some fun when bored, i get attacked, and everything become warzoning again.

 

Its almost impossible to stay cool in a FREEMODE session! Just go with some friends ina private session

Free-roam in GTA:O is hostile. You always have to be on your guard. No one is safe. Its exhausting. There's constant danger.

Bottom line is that the open world in free mode needs to be constantly considered a hostile area. Passive mode helps a little bit, but you can still be killed in various ways while in it. Just play a solo session if you're really intending on doing something without having to worry about anything.

You mention Call of Duty, but fail to mention every other multiplayer first person shooter. There's a lot of them, and the folks who play them tend to be terrible.

Actually you're wrong the number one WORST gaming community is the League of Legends followed by CoD.

This is so true. I really hate going shopping / barbers or whatever and then this player doing a drive-by just shoots you randomly. Passive mode is useless it only protects players from getting shot whilst walking, someone could flatten you with a tank for god's sake. I had this one guy who drove past me while I was on mobile mode, when I got out I saw the suspicious parked car beside me and he planted it with a sticky bomb and bombed me. For no fking reason, okay I know that GTA is all about fun but it gets really tiring when you just want to roam around freemode and everybody just keeps shooting/running you over/hitting you with missiles and sh*te. Worse thing is probably most of those players are 13 years olds! Jeez.

 

Also people who don't co-operate in missions. Especially those noobs lol..They either just run around and get shot at or either they try to run you over with the car smh...Learn to play the game first before hopping into online mode -_-.
