The Best Thing About Racing...

Aside from the carnage at the inevitable pile up near the first real turn, or the boss RP and money you get, is when people actually race.

Nothing feels sweeter than to be in the lead with a car on either side of you, no one attempting to pit, and you can just race. Seeing each car on either side of me going up a little, then back, charging down the road in formation, is probably the thing that gets me giddiest when racing. I'll actually hoop and holler and prompt my car to go faster like it was a horse, encouraging my competition to do the same.

Even if I don't win, finishing in such a photo finish way always feels super awesome.

Has anyone else had the good fortune to enter this scenario? How hype was it? On a scale of "hype as f*ck" to "EXTREME HYPE."

I had a few races that didn't turn into bumper cars. I send those people friend requests.

 

Not that bumper cars can't be fun but clean races are a nice change if you can get them.

Yep, that great. Just had this happen with custom muscles on "the commute" . Well, on the last bridge rubbing led to turns, still funny though.

I've learned to stop slip streaming players in 1st. Now I race beside them assuming they aren't asshats that are going to pit me. My cars tend to be slightly faster than theirs so I make sure to stay just a slight bit behind them and wait till we're near the end of the race to pass. It's a calculated gamble every time.

I had a great race on down the drain w motorcycles. There were 6-8 of us racing hard down the stretch n swapping slipstreams. There were about 5 lead changes in the last 20 seconds of the race. And not one guy got wiped out!!

I love it when this kind of stuff happens. When ever the guys in my crew are online we always have good sessions. We are very vocal about racing clean in the channel and if people start to pit or ram intentionally, we get rid of them and get more clean racers, after about 3 or 4 races, we usually will have a full room of good racers.

I took out my new Custom Vacca last night and was keeping up and passing a lot of Entity's with it.
