Parachuting (The most underrated/underplayed activity?)

Yeah I own the black parachute specifically so I am low his at night. Love parachuting. How do you hit the air brakes? Pull back on the left joystick? Just curious, never needed the brake but I'd like to know

Me and my crew do it like every time we play and I freaking love it. I just wish there was a freefall one like Terminal Velocity or HALO, but from like 7000 ft.

Haven't played all the parachute games yet but there needs to me more simple freefall and land on a target..like back of truck or boat...like the ones in SP...a group of 10-16 doing this would be a blast...

 

Can wait till we can create our own triathlons...do a parachute drop..to bike race...to swim race..to car race..etc...a real ironman challenge..

This actually reminds me of something I done during a mission online. Forgot which one it was but it involved getting this boat then driving it to Trevors or something.

 

The guys I was playing with had left me behind, as they do. So I hopped into a heli, chased them down and timed my jump to perfection. Parachuted onto the boat whilst the douche was going at full speed. Felt like I had achieved something worthy of sharing with my grand children one day.

I Always like to try to open my chute as late as possible

some people don't seem to know that you can get most checkpoints without opening your chute, lot more fun IMO

shame it doesn't reflect in the scoring, would definitely make the whole thing a lot more interesting

My crew does a handful of these each night, mainly for sport as the payout is not much. Good for everyone to get some time in parachuting as we now employ choppers and chutes on other missions.

Parachuting is kind of fun, and the "missions" for it easy, but I don't really enjoy doing the missions repeatedly. They're good to break up the monotony if you've got a group going through several missions together.

Parachuting is a lot more fun in freemode, though. I get to control what I do and where I go, and sometimes I get a fun surprise when I remember mid-fall that I've already used my parachute.

Its great fun if you dedicate yourself to not opening your chute till you absolutely have to. I have made it through quite a few by not opening the chute till i was through the first 3-4 gates. Love using weapons too, as they cant shoot you if your flying at 100 mph while they float slowly. Some of the most fun in the game was with these. I even in free roam jump all the time. Nothing like parachuting down to a bounty with off the radar from Lester they will not see you coming.

I find them fun. They're a great way to get some nice views of Los Santos. I've even played a couple of full ones, which are pretty intense as you can crash into each other since you're all right there going for the middle of the targets.

Yeah I love parachuting but same thing cant ever find anyone to join, and if I pick parachuting with a group, they all leave. If anyone wants someone to join a parachuting job, add me on ps3 (same as username). I hate doing the same bs race all the time just to farm RP, I'll do anything once in a while even if you don't get much rp for the effort just because, well, this is a game and it should be fun at least part of the time.

Hi, This is my first post here.

 

I really like parachuting, but I too have had empty lobbies when I host, and rarely play with more than two other people when I do a quick parachuting job.

 

I don't think parachuting is that easy, especially when you are parachuting with another good player - actualy it's more fun and challenging! It also takes some skill to freefall through checkpoints (that was my secret weapon until I found out others do it too).

 

One of the things I like about parachuting is that I have not yet seen anyone cheat - i don't even know how one would cheat in skydiving. Maybe it's not worth cheating because of the low payout? (Racing, on the other hand - getting tired of the lag switchers who are too afraid to actually compete)

 

If you want someone to parachute with, please feel free to send a XBOX friend req to woodman1200 or req to be added to my crew NB Liberation Front (NBLF). I am usually online between 10:30P and 1:30A EDT Also, if your crew is active and likes to parachute, please let me know!

 

I also recently joined a crew called Parachute Fanatics, but since they are based in Germany, I doubt I'll have the chance to jump with any of them. You can find crews with "parachute" in their name on the Social Club site.

I love parachuting! It soothes the rough environment of gtao lol. If I did too many missions or stayed in a lobby too long I usually just fly up really high with my Luxor and just jump out and parachute.

It's relaxing, it's quiet. Compare to the chaos underneath in the city.
