punkassbusta
could a massive killing spree in the streets of los angeles or some other major city really happen in real life like it does in GTA? Could one person really kill dozens of people with a whole arsenal of guns and ammunition in broad day light while evading the police?
the_samich
Yes it could happen but it wouldn't last very long unless they were strapped with military grade armor. It's all a roll of the dice on how long it would really last though.

the_samich
It's happened before... It has and I can't remember much about it but I know they had some good armor, high power weapons and I believe some ammo stashes..

TheAzn
Anything in GTA is possible. Hell, 9-11 isn't even possible in GTA because 3000 people died in one day within minutes. Killing 100 people in one time on GTA will probably make your console blow smoke. So, yea, it is beyond possible as GTA stuff has happened before. There was a police chase involving a stolen tank. Fortunately it wasn't loaded with any munitions. For sure the gas wasn't infinite. Also a police chase involving that big dump truck, I forgot what it's called... the HVY something. Bank robberies and store hold-ups of course. Shooting sprees, seemingly becoming the new trend nowadays. Suicide bombers. Gang wars. Still trying to figure out how to do the LSC glitch in real life. We live in GTA, enough said......... you can find those two police chase I mention on YouTube btw.

I was thinking more a situation where many people died.
IHerbert
Mass shootings have a long history before GTA. I remember reading somewhere a man pulled a pistol and slaughtered nearly everyone in a little town's main street sometime in the early 20th century. When he returned home and the police called him, they asked how many people he thought he had killed. He replied he hadn't counted his points yet. marco-polo
As said in your other thread.. By evading do you mean kill here, drive there, kill here, steal car to go there, kill here? If so, i can't see why it wouldn't happen.. If you knew the streets it would enable you to move around more easily, since you don't have the map and all... However, it's portrayed as a simple thing to just kill 10 people and move to the next location, almost glamourised. In reality, it'd take longer to steal the car (attended or unattended), as said - armour (weight), bullets and weapons (weight), switching between and placing them in the car, getting out of the car, reloads (times), jams or malfunctions, taking hits, changing the aims and angles, cars are harder to steer with popped wheels, head shots on shooter... None of these variables play into the GTA reality, but it's certainly possible if you knew what you were doing and up against.
