My First Impression of a "Bad Sport" Session

So I became a bad sport today and then decided to join my first session to see how fun it would be. It was nothing but tanks. 5 guys with a tank roaming the streets and spawn-killing. I decided to stay in the game because I'm not a pussy, but 17 spawn-kills from the same guy later, I finally blow up his tank and hop in a car to go do something else. Got blown up by another tank I wasn't paying attention to. Then spawn-killed 7 times (You ever notice how sometimes traffic just doesn't show up in GTA Online?), so I decide I'm going to stay in the game and just find a car. No cars. Turn a corner even though I see a blip there. Assumed it couldn't possibly be another tank. Tank. Spawn killed now by 2 people at the same time. Eventually, they both blew each other up, and an hour after my first "Bad Sport" session, I've decided I'm not really having fun. Not if everyone is just driving tanks. I own a tank, but what's the fun in tanks shooting tanks shooting tanks shooting tanks? I might find a fun "Bad Sport" session, but to me, first impressions are everything, and that session was nothing but cheaters who don't leave tanks, wouldn't even think of cooperating to have fun, and from the second I first spawned to the second I left an hour later, the only sound I heard was explosions, the "N" word, and laughing.

Well, Rockstar - You taught me that I'd much rather have less fun in regular sessions by not blowing up personal vehicles than have NO fun in "Bad Sport" sessions. Lesson learned. Even though I pay for the personal vehicles I destroy, sooo...

Hahaha agreed, I just finished serving my time in the bad sport lobby 2 days ago. Never want to go back in there again, it's horrifying especially when you have no tank or whatsoever your KDR drops like crazy.. Glad I'm out of it. Still blowing up PV's though, only if they attack or try to blow up my car first, but then again I'm always checking my status to make sure I'm still a Clean Player and not a Dodgy Player.

All that aside, I've said it before and I'll say it again, BS lobbies sound like the hell of the GTA world. And it sounds like what some of you call "the right way to play GTA"; nothing but constant murder and explosions. So that makes it hard for me to pity anyone in there. Plus, you did it to yourselves by not heeding the warnings. People say they get in there for one infraction, but that's straight up bull. I've left a game or two early. All I got was a warning. I've blown up at least 3 PVs at a time and only gotten warnings. So this whole "I blew up one car or left one game" BS is just that; BS.

But yeah, I think Bad Sport is the perfect punishment for these types. They see that their behavior isn't so keen when on the constant recieving end of such jackassery.

I don't mind 'bad sport', but IMO it needs some revamping. Happen to go through the hassle of stealing a tank? Just wait until a swarm of people purposely crash into it with their PVs to send you there.

If that's the case, write a ticket to R* about it.

 

As for the tank thing, no worries. I have no desire to go around killing players with it, so they should have no reason to crash their super cars into me over and over. In fact, it hasn't happened the couple of times I stole a tank. So... yeah.

Don't bring a tank to a gun fight then. :p

 

Tank vs tank, tank vs jet, tank vs helicopter = good sport.

Tank vs people and cars = bad sport.

 

I tried to combat a tank griefer and use my vehicle as a shield, the mechanic more often than not says he can't bring the vehicles you request. You must really annoy some on foot and car players for them to go to the trouble of driving their cars into you repeatedly.

The last topic I made using the default font I am using now, came out grey: the same color as the background. So I figured why risk it happening again, and chose the first color I assumed would be visible. And your mother is a çunt.

Just had to report on my 2nd open session in "Bad Sport" mode.

It's been 16 hours since I experienced the sh¡t-hole that is "Bad Sport" sessions.

I needed to mod some stuff just now and instead of choosing "Invite Only", I just chose the "Go" option because, hey, not all sessions can be THAT bad. I spawn and immediately open my map to set a GPS location, and I see a blip flying towards me. "He must have been coming this way, anyway". Nah. Didn't even have time to set a marker on my map and I was rear-ended and hear an explosion from a grenade. So I floor it, figuring eventually I'll have time to open my map and set a location. He stayed on my tail, as I was in an unmodded car and he was in something better. I keep hearing grenades exploding behind me, I turn a corner and say to myself "I came here to do things to cars, and I haven't even been able to open my map yet". So I exit back to story-mode to start an "Invite Only" session. First time I ever left a lobby because of someone, but it wasn't because I was scared of getting killed. I just wasn't going to be able to do what I wanted to do.

 

"Bad Sport" sessions are a cesspool of fuçk.

I'm never using my tank again.

It sucks that your first impression was bad. I myself like BS sessions and plan on going right back in when I get out tomorrow night. Yeah you get your occasional tankers, but most of the time (from my experience) it's just players killing players (on foot, in cars), loads of bounties, and all around shenanigans.

 

Seems like you just ran into a tank session.

Yeah its dog eat dog in bad sports. One min you can be getting tank bullied then the next you are tank bullying the f*cker who was tank bullying you. If you don't have a tank in your garage you are going to be some tanks bitch.

But I do exactly as you said... I scoped motherf*ckers in their little tanks. Be aware man... I can be anywhere...
