Can you use a PS3 controller with a PC?

Is there a simple way of using a PS3 controller with a PC I really want to play my flight simulator but I do to have a joy stick or a PC controller. If I can not use a PS3 controller can I use a XBOX 360 controller with a PC?

If your want to use a PS3 controler you will want to use this program:

It's easier to just use an Xbox 360 controller if you have the option.
