Why doesn't a majority vote just bypass the voting screen?

Say 6 out of 8 votes are cast for the same game type to be played next. Why doesnt the voting screen just move on at that point? Instead the screen will continue to linger until every vote is counted. Dumbass design.

You know how there's always that one guy who takes a long time to vote? I think there's an issue with the screen. I used to get annoyed by this but one time when I was playing with 5-6 people, one of the party chat members would be stuck on the satellite view each time and then eventually have to dashboard.

 

Majority vote would be nice but I suppose they want everyone to cast a vote in case someone wants to go to Freemode instead.

agreed it as soon as majority votes it should just start a 10 second countdown instead of the 1min thats always left

Yup. Same for the like/dislike/no vote screen.

There's always that one guy that never votes. I usually kick them after doing it twice or so if I'm host.

agree, its so sad the developers didnt think of this.. its such COMMON SENSE...

 

9/10 people vote for the same option and the game acts like that 1 PERSON can change the outcome...

I guess if you're trying to grind the three races everyone plays over it is worse. I love lobbies that change up the maps and a little break and time to look over the choices doesn't bug me.

I assume it's for if you go do something else for a minute, so that you have time to return too. But yeah, I agree, it's a bit stupid design.

Why would we wait for you? I say don't get left behind. 10 seconds is all that's needed. If someone wanted to go free mode they can just back out of the lobby. Doesn't hit you for bad sport if the race hasn't launched

Until you`ll need that minute and you`ll be the target of your logic. That is usually the time when you call RAPE and start throwing hissy fits about Rockstar in general and the rule that raped you in particular - just like the hordes of bad sport players that are making "how to change bad sport" threads because they are getting raped in those lobbies.

Agree with this. I'm not sure about the other big games but I do know a FPS on the iPhone that uses a majority voting system and it works a treat. I don't need much time to check out the options as I just skim for the game type and vote that way.

 

Obviously if this system was ever implemented Rockstar would first need to come up with a solution for the reduction in the piss breaks.
