The drivers in this game just LOVE to run you over...

How many times have you been ran over in GTA 4 and how many times in GTA 5? Let me give you a good example. You just stole a rare motorcycle and fully customized it, then you start driving to your garage to save it when suddenly.... a random police chase spawns behind you and people start shooting, now EVERY single driver in like a mile radius gets scared and starts driving like retards, and maybe... maybe if you are lucky you won't get hit, ran over and killed by these assholes, because they don't even try to avoid you!

Yeah sh*t happens. It does make me mad when I'm bolting from the police and run into the highway and get hit by a car automatically. That's what happens when you don't look both ways before you cross...even with 20 cops chasing after you.

The AI in V is definitely smarter than any of the previous games. I could stand in front of a car in IV and it would sit there blocking traffic all day if I wanted. In V they will actually back up and drive around you.

I never got ran over in 4 ever. Most cars stopped. In V I stand still and they run right into me on purpose. Which never happend in past GTAs.
I got killed by a bike in V for f*ck sake. Pretty bad huh? Ya Dying in V is so much easier, I now know why everyone wanted a infinite health code so soon.
lol I didn't realize how easy it was to die from basically doing nothing. I even died from running into a railing I was like REALLY??

Expecting drivers don't run over you if they are scared then its your fault to understand AI response.

If you try to stop them on highway they will only stop for seconds and start to drive away which is cool since its more realistic.

In short, its well done. Fullstop!

I am caring about V ain't I? because if I didn't then this thread wouldn't exist. And of course, it's very realistic when the AI cars try to kill you because they heard some gunshots a mile away

The problem is that bikes just feel weak, fragile and slippery. They need to make them more robust and make them feel more solid. The bikes feel like they're made out of plastic.

Drivers panic a lot in GTA 5, it's quite annoying. Also one tiny bump into their car kills them.

 

I let my characters get run over a lot anyway when I force them to run across 8 highway lanes, cars going 100mph. Fun stuff.

True, thats why I never ride a bike in a police chase, because apparently they can get a 2x speed boost and ram you off the bike then shoot your ass...
