Bad Sport Time Should be GTA Days not real days

So one day in gta days is like 48 minutes I think, which would be the first punishment. Then 2 days, then 4 days, etc... I recently accidentally ran over a friends car with my tank because he got close to me and now im in bad sport servers for the 3rd time, and for EIGHT days.. what the actual f*ck cockstar. Im on the verge of breaking my cd in half..

nevermind gta days, just make it HOURS instead of actual days, honestly 4 days of playing with hackers and fools was ridiculous as a punishment for killing a spawn killer

They are punishing themselves . Peipke wrongly in bad sport will eventually leave the game .meaning less ppl will play. Thise people will tell there friends and so on .

THOSE are bad sports, not people who leave missions early and those who blow up spawnkillers

The bad sport system seems ridiculous to me, since all the 'good sports', who constantly complain about 'glitchers' and the like are the ones who try sending people to BS lobbies by ramming their vehicles into tanks and flying around in insured Buzzards. IMO Bad Sport, if it *has* to exist, should only apply to campers. Like, if a player kills x people within y seconds of respawning z amount of times, they get the dunce cap.

 

I haven't gotten the dunce cap yet, but only because I'm careful and, by some miracle, never get disconnected.

 

But yeah I agree it should be measured in GTA days rather than real-time. Sorry to stray off topic a bit.

Making it in-game days would make much more sense from a business standpoint. After all, Rockstar obviously wants me to play as much as possible, right?

 

If I get 4 real days of Bad Sport, there's a good chance that I'll just say "screw it" and switch to another game during that time, since I want to play with my friends and cannot. But if I had 4 in-game days, or had to earn a certain amount of RP to be forgiven, that would give me more of a reason to keep playing instead of simply shutting off my system. Can you imagine getting a MONTH of bad sport? Does Rockstar really want to give players a reason to leave GTA Online for an entire month? That makes no sense.

 

Regardless, though, the whole thing is counterintuitive. Rockstar creates this huge game with missions where you play together with your friends ... then they post players' videos on their own Newswire where friends are playing together ... but then they punish you if you get Bad Sport and keep you from those friends ... AND you're limited by what you can do with those friends (no destruction derby, for example) because if you destroy each other's cars, you get punished.

 

They made some very odd decisions with this game.

Agreed wholeheartedly. I love the fact that if I blow up a PV which YOU CAN EASILY GET BACK AND I PAY FOR, I get labeled a bad sport. But you can throw out insults like "fa**ot" and "ni***r" while you and your dumbass buddies grief me and it's just fine.
