An idea about car insurance..

This is sort of a cross post because it's an idea that I posted on the support forum but maybe it's worth consideration?

As I understand it the developers/production crew at Rockstar truly believe there's a fundamental issue with personal vehicles being destroyed by "bad sports" in the game. I mostly agree with them but I think how they tried to solve this problem was over-engineered.

 

How about this.. a personal vehicle is destroyed and it respawns close to where it was destroyed. The player doesn't need to call Mors Mutual anymore. And they likely have spawned very close to the car because they were destroyed while in it!

 

But if the player is far enough away they can still call their mechanic to have it delivered. That solves a lot of problems for people that just want to play the game. No more of this insurance nonsense.. just cut it out completely.

 

It was a "neat idea" that sort of gave it a real world aspect but it's just a drag for everybody that plays the game.

 

This would relieve a lot of anxiety that people have about their personal cars being destroyed and you can still give people a bad sport warning (something I disagree with but I'm trying to be fair.)

 

 

 

Rockstar is trying to punish the people that destroy personal cars but the people that own those cars are the ones being punished because they have to go through the whole rigmarole of callings Mors and then their mechanic (if he even shows up !!!)

 

I still think PVs should be highlighted by some sort of "glow" in the game so people know beforehand.
