I think it's interesting how people like Townley when he is such an antagonist. I agree with his views on family vs. Crew but I as a GTA criminal find it hard not to want to kill him. He and CJ are opposites in that way I guess, like when CJ refuses to call the cops on a guy until he learns that he is a D.A.

 

He saves himself and his family by stabbing his friends in the back. And even when he gets to live with his family he is unfaithful and raises the worst kids ever.

Michael is a good guy but I find him unappealing compared to Trevor, Niko and CJ.

Those three are the only ones who deserve the title, in my opinion.

Here's a good tip for everyone - next time you guys do a V story play through, do it Max Payne 3 style with Townley. More action-packed and you'll be a lot better at being a focused killer!

In my opinions, I'll say Franklin is my all time favourite followed by Niko, and then Tommy.
I love Franklins loyalty and level headedness.
It just feels like Michael is a f*cking prick that only cares about himself, and Trevor as crazy and cool as he may be, for me personally his crazy in game didn't live up to the hype of the crazy displayed in the trailers.

Michael is probably my least favourite if anything.

CJ is definitely the worst though (Not counting Claude since he isn't even a real character to me).

Ruined SA's story.

 

Tommy was boss but lacked personality. I really wish they remade Vice City.

It would be great. A VC without the 80's is hard to imagine anyway

CJ isn't the worst, the worst would be Huang Lee or Vic Vance, that is, excluding the protagonists of GTA 1 and it's GBC port, GTA 2 GBC port, GTA London '69 and '61.

 

On topic, Michael isn't that much of a great protagonist, but he is sure better than Luis Lopez, Johnny Klebitz, Claude (GTA 3), Carl Johnson and Niko Bellic. Mike (GTA A), Antonio Cipriani and Tommy Vercetti are better than Michael Townley, so he isn't the best GTA protagonist.

Trevor is kind of likable in a creepy uncle sort of way. CJ was a bitch. Michael is one of my favorites, but definitely not the best. I'd give that nod to Nico.

Voted "Yes", only because it's hard for me to choose between him, Claude and Tommy. He makes GTA V so much more enjoyable

 

I'm glad they came up with him. He was the best protagonist since Tommy Vercetti (along with Niko Bellic).
