CJ or Tommy probably still the most likable or coolest but they're apples to oranges on a different production scale than M or T. and they're still both very 'video gamey' ... i appreciate that M is a lot more nuanced and designed less as a video game star and more as just a fictional character.

I don´t think he´s the best GTA protagonist ever, but he´s my favourite in V. He´s well written and although he made some mistakes, I find him likeable.

 

And I love the 80´s (especially the music) and classy british cars. So I think Michael is a very good choice to live out these passions in GTA V.

Yep Michael's definitely the 80's Protag. He's the go to guy if you're a fan of the 1980's.

His family was broken, he had to pay a five-digit sum every month to keep Dave's mouth shut and to quote his own words in "marriage counseling": mortaged up his ass.

Plus even himself was tired of living like that.

the reason he got back into the scene was because he screwed up Madrazo, them one thing led to another one until the end.

2. A daughter he leaves to hang out with perverts and porn stars.

3.A son he leaves to smoke pot and never helps him in getting a job.

4. Two kids he doesn't really bother about their educations.

 

5. A family he claimed to "I miss my family!" in The Paleto Score, but he didn't even bother to look for them immediately after being free to return to LS, quickly yelling "I can't wait to go back to that movie studio!" instead.

 

6. A wife he promised "I won't get myself killed, with every fiber of my being." In Reuniting the Family. But he commits suicide in Ending B if you decided to save him.

 

7. In a phonecall with Solomon after Meltdown, he said "I'll never forget my time working with you, Solomon. Best thing happened to me".

 

8. He always smiles in bank robbing and making movies while being miserable near his family.

 

9. Massively a hypocritical guy and a master in lying, selfishness, and back-stabbing.

 

 

 

Playable antagonist, basically.

You really dislike Townley, don't ya GT.

 

OT: I do like Michael as a character. He's the best written and most developed Protagonist in GTA V. I love his sarcasm. " isn't this nice, you didn't tell me we were double dating. Sorry guys, this burning hunk of love is all mine" he has some classic one liners. He can be quite assholish at times, but I still find him likeable. He's in my top three favourite protagonists. Right next to Niko and Trevor.

Nah. I like the guy, but he's not that great, not in V anyway. Would love to see a prequel though with him starting his criminal career in North Yankton and the surrouding area. Think there's a lot of potential for a great game (or "episode" like TLaD & TBoGT) there but it ain't like Rockstar are gonna do anything about it.

Then take him down to South LS in the Merryweather mesa and pick any hood and start taking down gang members with any weapon of your choice and use his special ability often!

Ah Niko Bellic, deepest and by far the best story of any GTA Protagonist to date! Takes down the best, most menacing antagonist in GTA history, Dimitry Rascalov!!

 

Let's take a moment and hear it for Niko, one BADA$$ perpetrator folks, even more than my man Trevor Philips!

Not sure about best ever, but I think he's one of the best. In reality he would be a disgusting human being, in the game he's funny and quite cool. Marvelously acted too.
